About the home

This cosy bungalow is ideal for couples needing a base to explore this fabulous area of North Devon. Modern open plan living and fully equipped, it offers a good degree of privacy and is comfortable and welcoming. The one bedroom has a double bed and the other has bunk beds

The kitchen is newly fitted with a good array of cupboards. The bathroom is ultra modern and fitted with a power shower. Then there is the conservatory, lovely for dining or just sitting, and the rear courtyard garden of the property is not overlooked and ideal for alfresco eating with seating area and BBQ.

It's a flat 10 minute walk to the beach and to a variety of local shops and eating places. Modern open plan living room and kitchen and rear conservatory with double doors leading on to a pretty courtyard garden. Perfect for outside dining.

This lovely little bungalow fits the old cliche - small but perfectly formed! There is a double and single bedroom, fitted kitchen, modern shower room with power shower and new conservatory adding extra space for dining or sitting.

The open plan living area has comfortable seating with Free Sat TV and DVD.

Parking is provided opposite the property and the bungalow is tucked away across from an attractive grassy area. The front garden is lawned with shrubs and pots and there is seating for two in the sun!

At the back are bench seating and loungers.

The West Country / Devon region

Westward Ho! is the only place in the country to be named after a novel and to have an exclamation mark after it's name. The novel was written by Charles Kingsley and followed the adventures of Elizabethan seafarers.
The village of Westward Ho! is fronted by an amazing 2 mile long sandy beach and has been a family holiday destination since the Victorian times.

Ideally located to see some of the most spectacular coastal areas in Devon - Clovelly, Hartland, Croyde Bay and Illfracombe to name but a few. The town of Barnstaple is 9 miles away and Bideford, just down the road. The little fishing village of Appledore is a couple of miles away with it's quaint little streets and fishermen's cottages.

The Cornish coast is about 25 miles away - Bude being the nearest large Cornish holiday town.

The Westward Ho area

Northam Burrows is just opposite the end of the road and the famous Links Golf Club (Royal North Devon Golf Course I'm informed is it's correct name!) a few yards away. The visitors centre gives information on the area's history and walks and talks are available.

The pebble ridge separates the beach from the Burrows and in the summer the traditional Pot Walloping festival takes place there! Fabulous coastal walks along the cliffs at Westward Ho and the views are terrific. There is horse riding nearby and surfing is of course one of the most popular activities in this area.

“all the comforts of home” Very comfortable , very well equiped , nice secure little garden at the front and private little shingle area at the rear off the back of the conservatory that caught the sun (when it shone ) .... more
