This modern home with a tradition country feel, is overlooking Clew Bay in county Mayo in a secluded spot 1/4 of a mile off the main Louisburgh/Westport rd. It is at the foot of Croagh Patrick and overlooking Old Head's blue flag beach. The property boasts stunning 360 degree vistas and it's own vegetable garden.
An ideal setting for a quiet short break, family holiday with children of any age or an activity centred stay. The house is the last on the lane so is very private.
Local activities in the area include cliff side angling in Kilsallagh, deep sea fishing on Clew bay, surfing at Carrownisky beach, hillwalking on the many mountains in the surrounding area, and is 2 km from Atlantic Adventure centre and 14 km from the well known Delphi Adventure Centre and Lodge. At the quay in Westport is Westport Country House Estate where there is an animal park, various fun rides and the house to view, set in the beautiful grounds of the house.

The North West Ireland / County Mayo region
We are five minutes from the village of Murrisk where the annual pilgrimage of Croagh Patrick goes from every July. In the same village is the monument of the famine ship in commemoration of all those who died. County Mayo boast many characterful villages to visit, and there are also various lively towns such as Castlebar and Ballina.
Westport / Kilsallagh area
There are many places to eat in Louisburgh and Wesport. The best two restaurants for your evening meals are the Quay Cottage at the Quay and Hudson's Pantry in Louisburgh. There are many good places for "Pub lunches" the best being The Helm at the Quay and The Tavern in Murrisk.

Further details indoors: The house is only two and a half years old and built to the highest standards. It is therefore a very warm house which is heated by a wood pellet stove and also has a log burning stove in the sitting room for those who enjoy relaxing by the fire. We also have solar panels that provides ample hot water unless there is full cloud cover. We have also an electric immersion for heating water and an electric shower.
The house consists of a porch, entrance hall, small sitting room with views to the sea at the front, kitchen/ diner with small utility and back door, large sun room (2nd sitting room) has views to the front and back and double doors which opens out to the back patio area. Off the entrance hall is the down stairs wet room and one double room with en suite and a twin room. Upstairs is a large king-size bedroom, two single bedrooms and a small bathroom.
Further details outdoors: It is on 0.8 acre site with a large enclosed garden. In the garden is a wooden play house for children with swings and a slide. The space around the house consist of a large lawned area and space for ample parking, vegetable plot, patio area and gravelled back yard.

We provide a shopping service prior to arrival so that when you do arrive you can relax and not have to leave to get your supplies. Pets are welcome on request. This is a farming area with sheep in a lot of the surrounding fields so dogs need to be under control and any with a history of sheep worrying or worse it would be inadvisable to bring.
Conditions
We require a €200 booking fee and balance to be paid four weeks before arrival date. Electricity and heating will be charged according to usage. We will take a meter reading on arrival and on leaving.
