The Harbour Mill is a beautifully reconstructed 18th Century cut stone mill built around a stunning open-air Courtyard. It now comprises Fáilte Ireland approved 4-star luxury self-catering apartment.

The apartment is situated on Westport Quay, a short distance from the charming heritage town of Westport, Ireland’s Tidiest Town 2008/09. The area boasts beautiful Blue Flag beaches, fine dining, lively nightlife, plenty of adventure activities and the magnificent Croagh Patrick holy mountain.

Guests can enjoy the freedom and independence of an apartment with the services of a hotel. Exceptional facilities include a 24-hour Reception, Wine Bar, on-site sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi and complimentary access to a swimming pool and gym. A babysitting service is available on request. Kiddies Corner - a dedicated play area for younger guests – offers a variety of activities to keep the children occupied and amused.

Westport town boasts many tourist facilities. An excellent 18 hole Championship Golf Course is located on the Golf Course Road, just off the Newport Road, approximately one mile outside the town centre. This fabulous golf course guarantees excellent golf and scenic splendour.

Horse riding and Pony trekking is on offer all year round. Clay pigeon shooting, sea angling, hill walking, sailing and adventure sports are among the many other activities on offer to the visitor.
Westport is also a leading sea angling centre. Boats may be hired by groups or individuals.

The freshwater angler is well catered for on the many lakes and rivers. For a modest license fee, a day or a week's fishing may be had. The Erriff and Delphi fisheries are well known and there are many lesser streams and lakes to enjoy.

There is a wide selection of sandy beaches to choose from on the North and South shores of Clew Bay, and down the coast south of the Bay to where the isolated strand of Thallabawn meets Killary Harbour, Ireland's only fjord. Many of the beaches are EC Blue Flag winners including Bertra, near Murrisk, Old Head and Carramore in Louisburgh.

Westport is, of course, home of Westport House and Country Estate, one of Ireland's top Day Visitor Attractions. This fine Georgian mansion, home of Lord Sligo, is open to visitors during the summer season & offers a variety of children's activities.

There is something for everyone in Westport.

The Harbour Mill is ideally situated on Westport Quay. Westport is accessible by air via Knock, Shannon, Galway, Sligo or Dublin airports or by road or mainline rail from all major centres in Ireland.

The apartment is full of character and charm and is designed to the highest standard, with pine floors throughout. Each apartment has a spacious open-plan kitchen with a dining and living area. The master bedrooms are en-suite, whilst the second bedrooms have access to a guest bathroom.

All prices quoted are for a Courtyard view apartment, which does not have a Harbour view. Should you require a Harbour view, Deluxe Harbour view or sleep-6 apartment, please call us directly for upgrade prices.

The County Mayo coast is renowned for its panoramic views from Killary Harbour to Killala Bay with beautiful sandy beaches, cliffs and islands. There is a superb choice of activities available, including the nearby championship parkland and links golf courses, water sports, horse riding, angling and island-hopping in Clew Bay.

Guests at The Harbour Mill may avail of complimentary leisure facilities at Westport Leisure Park, which is located in the heart of Westport town centre (1km) beside the cinema and outdoor playground. Opening hours are 8am – 10pm weekdays and 10am – 7pm at weekends. Facilities include a state-of-the-art 25m swimming pool, children’s fun pool, air-conditioned Fitness Suite and male, female & family changing areas.

Conditions

Bookings are secured with a €100 non-refundable deposit. The balance is due 21 days prior to arrival. We charge bookings deemed to be a group a security deposit of €50 per person.
