This eye-catching country house is beautifully furnished to a very high standard located in a secluded area, 2 and a half miles from the award winning town Westport, which is a favoured family holiday destination in the west of Ireland due to its variety.
It is perfect for a countryside retreat as there are plenty of great hills and mountainous areas and will also suit those who enjoy fishing and shooting, blue flag beaches and lakes which are all within half an hours drive. For keen golfers, Westport championship golf course is only 4 miles away and 4 other courses within 12 miles drive of the property.
Nearby Westport has all amenities for kids including a leisure centre with a swimming pool and plenty of children's activities, multi screen cinema, restaurants and all the typical amenities you would expect from a holiday here. Young adults will also be able to enjoy their time here with a variety of pubs and clubs in Westport.

The North West Ireland / County Mayo region
If Irish history, culture and folklore is your thing, you will find all kinds of Museums and Visitor Attractions throughout Mayo, along with a great variety of Festivals throughout the year but particularly during the summer months. The area is best known for its open peaceful spaces and its friendly, welcoming people.
Mayo provides many summer schools and are worth having a look at if you would like to learn a new skill or improve on existing talents. There is a painting workshop in peaceful, inspiring surroundings (http://www.achillpainting.com/workshops.htm) and cookery courses from Marjorie Morrow-Nolan, an author of two cookery books. Mayo also has a rich tradition of music, song and dance and should be experienced by all. A trip to Mayo is simply incomplete without it.
The Westport area
This property is located 2 and a half miles from the bustling, colourful town of Westport.
Westport is a great town with a variety of great pubs, restaurants and shops. Wander through the courtyards in search of that hidden treasure you simply must have! With two golf courses, a sailing school and many Blue Flag beaches, Connemara and Croagh Patrick all close by.
