Home description
Traditionally styled, fully equipped, 3 bedroomed wooden house, situated in a quiet, unspoilt area of St James on the West Coast.
Only six minutes walk to the beautiful St Albans Beach and local bus route. Located approximately half way between Speightstown and Holetown, the two main shopping centres of the West Coast.

The St James Parish region
St James has a beautiful coastline with the calmest waters (most of the time!). Ideal for swimming , snorkelling, water skiing, and kids' toys (banana, chariot rides etc ). A catamaran cruise is a must .Occasionally when the sea is up the surfing can be great . There are numerous restaurants in Holetown , less than 3 miles away and the quaint old town of Speightstown, 2 miles to the north, has some nice shops and a very nice museum. It is only a 20 minute drive up into the centre of the Island which is green, hilly and rugged in places, and onto the East Coast, which is totally different, with Atlantic swells and deserted beaches.
Weston, Barbados area
Beautiful beaches and lots of watersports activities. The house is situated in a quiet local area only 6 mins walk down to the very lovely St Albans / Carlton beach. You can then walk north along the sand to Gibbs beach and then onto the quite famous Mullins Beach where you can stop for a beer or a very nice lunch. The local buses run often from the bottom of the road and only cost $1.50 whether you go one stop or all the way to Oistens .There are a couple of local shops where you can get the basics and ther are good supermarkets in both Holetown and Speightstown.
How to get there
Taxi drive 40 min. Price approx. 35 USD. Take ABC-Highway towards West Coast until D’Arcy Scott Roundabout, turn right on Highway 2A keep straight for about 15 mins then turn left at the sign for Lower Carlton (junction after Royal Westmoreland). Follow road to end, turn left on coastline road and first left into Bairds Road. Drive Up the hill, as the road levels take driveway to right towards pink and blue cottages.
