We are delighted that you have already booked to return in September 2015. Ghilly and Wellie will also be overjoyed to see you again. Wellie has doubled in size and they have some great games of "wrestling and tag!"

Thank you for such a lovely review. Sorry I did not speak much French during your visit, but as you know I am trying to become fluent in Spainsh, as our eldest son lives in Barcelona!
Your English is fantastic!
I will send you updates of Wellie's progress-Ghilly & Wellie are always playing now-either tag or "tug of war", so Ghilly appears to be in his second "puppyhood"!
Thank you for the great photo of Murray the Old English sheep dog in the Byre Garden, and for the delicious jam and croquantes.
Do hope that we shall welcome you again in the future.
All the best.

"Another superb stay at The Byre"
This was our 8th stay at the Byre and we were as usual given a very warm welcome from Paul, Julia and of cause Ghilly. The Byre now has a fabulous addition of a Garden room which is a fantastic place to sit and relax surrounded by the beautiful countryside. The weather was fantastic and we visited Bexhill, Eastbourne, Battle,Dover and many other places. A week at the Byre is not enough to visit all the places you wish to see in this wonderful area. We definitely will be back next year for 2 weeks. Thank you Paul and Julia
for your hospitality and for all the lovely produce from your garden. We would recommend the Byre and it's lovely hosts to all our friends and family for a relaxing and peaceful stay in
an area of outstanding natural beauty.
So pleased that you will be staying for two weeks next year and that the dates are in our diary! Such a pleasure to welcome you back each year-just wish the years did not fly by so quickly..is that a sign of age!!! Good that the later journey home worked well, especially at the Dartford tunnel.
We await news of your granddaughter! Julia,Paul & Ghilly

Hope to see you all again in 2015

"Perfect place foe a peaceful break."
The accommodation is situated in an ideal location if you wanted to stay in a quiet area. It is ideal base to explore both Sussex and Kent and further a field if you so require. The owners (Paul & Julie) and their dog are the perfect host, they are there if you need them, otherwise you are left alone to enjoy your break.
Thanks for your review. Very pleased you enjoyed the peace and tranquility.Hope to welcome you back in the future.

"The Usual Wonderful Trip to 'the Byre'"
This was the 9th time we have stayed with Paul and Julia Masters at 'the Byre'. As usual we had a wonderful time. We love the cottage as it has everything we need and this time we had the benefit of the newly added Garden Room which we enjoyed using particularly as it got dark in the evening and we could relax with the surroundings. Paul and Julia are perfect hosts always ready for a chat (but they are sensitive to their guests need for privacy) and a mine of information about restaurants, pubs and sights to visit. The bed is extremely comfortable (can be made up as a King size or two singles) and we are always offered the choice of duvets or sheets and blankets (we hate duvets!). Having the use of a washing machine is great and the cooker, hob, microwave and fridge/freezer are all easy to use and very efficient. We love walking in the private woods but this time we saw neither owls or badgers. Lots of places of interest are close by. We look forward to our next visit and hopefully this will be for two weeks next time
Such a pleasure to welcome you both and you always leave the cottage immaculate-so a big thank you!
Pleased you were able to enjoy the garden room!
We do hope it will be 2 weeks next year..a week goes way too quickly!

"Country walks and tranquility"
The property is in a wonderful setting, at the end of a long, winding laneway. From the bedroom and bathroom you look out over rolling countryside. Extremely peaceful! The accommodation is very spacious and extremely well-equipped. We stayed for a week and used it as a base to explore some of the wonderful places that are all very manageable day trips. Julia and Paul were perfect hosts, very informative about regional highlights and the best way to reach them without getting caught up in the frustrations of summer traffic delays. The fresh seasonal produce from their garden was a wonderful addition to our evening meals. If you can get a booking, go to Byre Cottage. You'll have a beautifully memorable time.
So pleased you enjoyed your stay and we do hope you will return in the future. Good luck with the house hunt!
