About the home

The ideal vacation retreat for couples and families looking for spacious, relaxing and comfortable accommodation from which to enjoy their tropical experience. The house is in an elevated position, therefore benefiting from cooling breezes. Patio furniture includes sun loungers and a large rectangular table with 8 matching chairs, perfect for al fresco dining. After enjoying a sundowner, early evening is the optimum time to watch the fireflies from the terrace.

The Saint David region

Grenada is the Caribbean's best kept secret, combining wonderful scenery, friendly people, glorious uncrowded sandy beaches on an unspoilt island. Activities include all water sports, sailing, walking and sightseeing. An excellent range of bars and restaurants is another feature of Grenada.

St David's is a largely rural parish with a long, varied and interesting coastline. The area is within easy reach of the main tourist areas, and closer to 'home' there is a yachting marina/resort with good bar food poolside and fine dining on their lightship. La Sagesse Bay is also close by, with its magnificent palm tree lined beach, as well as a nature centre and restaurant.

“Amazing holiday in Grenada” We were 2 couples in our 30s and 50s with one 10 month ol baby and we loved staying in this house. The owners of the house were very responsive prior to us staying there and helped us plan our vacation with providing many details about the island. We loved using the Infiniti pool and making rum drinks with the blender. The house was clean and the location of the house was great. We felt safe and at home in this house. Our only complaint would be the air condition. There was only air in the master bedroom. I would of wished there was air in every bedroom and especially the main living areas. Because of the great owners, wonderful house and location I would definitely stay at zanzibar again

“Great house on a beautiful island with welcoming and friendly people” One has to look beyond the tourist information for the treasures Grenada has to offer. Pearls Airport being one example, a fascinating place with abandoned planes to climb in, the runway being used for learner drivers and kids playing football. There are odd secluded beaches that unless a local tells you about them would undoubtedly go unnoticed. Unlike other Caribbean islands one can go about their business without constant hassle so going to the supermarket is not an ordeal although the heat gets turned up in the markets but a quick barter allowed us to procure spices and jewellery at quite reasonable prices. Zanzibar is a great little house that accommodated us and a couple of teenagers. We travelled there in August, at that time of year the humidity is high so the pool was a welcome feature with water temperatures varying between 32 and 34 degrees C. The master bedroom A/C was also most welcome. The service in the various restaurants was good bet being out of season there was not the full choice. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Grenada.

“Home away from home, for a couple or group...” Spending 3 weeks in this villa was wonderful, it is in a private but not too secluded position and we spent most of the time in the pool and garden area, (which has views down to the sea) choosing not to use the inside dining area at all. The outside space gets the breeze as well as the sun all day and the porch over the table provides shade whilst eating. The master bedroom is particularly lovely with a spacious dressing room and en suite. The door to the balcony lets the breeze through as well as receiving the sun as it rising each morning. The bathrooms are all a good size. We didn't cook a lot of meals but when we did I found the kitchen contained everything that we needed. The property is secure with locked gates and we felt at home straight away. You definitely need to hire a car, to get from the villa to the beaches, shops and around the island, but nothing is very far away. The only down side to the whole trip was getting bitten by mosquitoes! Getting picked up from the airport by Paul from Property Guardian company was an amazing touch, he gave advice on places to go and was always only a phone call away.

“A wonderfully relaxing and well equipped base for a holiday” The house is lovely, the views while not spectacular are very interesting and you can see the sea. When you wake up, make a coffee and sit up in bed with the balcony door open and watch the sun come up over the sea. It is a special time of day. The pool is lovely and the infinity edge draws you to lean on the wall and look over at the lovely garden below and the scene beyond. The house is spacious, light, very well equipped, well looked after and everything works. Take mosquito sprays and cream for wet weather but no other evidence of pests or insects.

“Wonderful Holiday” We stayed in Grenada for 2 weeks and were delighted with the accommodation. It is like a home from home. The house is spacious with a good sized lounge, kitchen and dining room. The ceilings are quite high and there are lots of windows, which lets in the breeze during the hot, sunny days, which is refreshing. The bedrooms are good sized - particularly the master bedroom, which has a balcony and you can see the sea in the distance. It was perfect for having breakfast in the mornings! The pool is also a good size - enough space to relax on a lilo or swim a couple of laps. There is also a shallow end for children to play in, which worked well for our friends' children. It was also wonderful in the evenings to sit out on the patio with the pool lights on, watching the fireflies. Grenada is an amazing island and I would recommend hiring a car to view the different parts. The accommodation is outside of the main tourist areas, but it's within easy reach and it doesn't take long to get your bearings. One of the many things that we loved about the accommodation was that it gives you the best of both worlds - a home from home where you can relax by the pool, or use it as a base to view the various parts of the island and the amazing beaches and restaurants. I would definitely recommend the accommodation and I would also definitely recommend visiting Grenada. We will be renting the accommodation again very soon hopefully!!!

“Lovely accommodation, easy relaxing holiday” It was hard to drag ourselves away from this beautifully equipped house with its pool and terrace. Nearest beach, La Sagesse is lovely, very quiet and pretty. For a day out, go to Grand Anse or Prickly Bay. Also, with the property located in Westerhall you are able to head north to the more remote part of the island which is well worth a visit. And you must visit the rain forest. Grenada has it all, in one compact package
