Truly a Dream Cottage, The Old Bakery is a Grade II listed thatched cottage in the beautiful coastal village of West Lulworth. The cottage has a luxurious standard throughout and includes interior design touches, fittings and furnishings which are a pleasure to behold and ensure guests have a delightful stay. Just a few minutes stroll from the property is Lulworth Cove famous for its geologically unique and beautiful cove. Also just a stroll away is the Dorset Coastal Path, ice cream shops and tempting seafood shacks (all seasonal). Here also you will find two pubs serving food and offering views. Another pub just a minute away The Castle Inn is pet friendly and has a good garden. The nearby Durdle Door, a large rock formation likened to a doorway, arising from the sea, is a must visit attraction; a popular beach offering snorkelling and cliff walks. If visiting in the summer do try to manage an outing to Lulworth Castle to watch the jousting knights. A lazy trip along the coast will take you to Swanage in the east and Weymouth in the west. Days can be filled with activities such as a boat ride along the coast, walking along the coastline searching for fossils or exploring the many geological and historical sites nearby. Returning to the cottage you may choose to dine alfresco at the raised decked area which has wonderful views over the village.

Three steps up to Kitchen. Three steps up to cloakroom with hand basin and toilet. There are two stair cases to the first floor: steep and narrow cottage stairs from kitchen to 1st floor: bathroom with step up to large and deep free standing copper bath, hand basin and toilet (no shower). Cottage stairs from inner hallway to first floor, landing area with dressing table. Bedroom 1, king-size bed. Bedroom 2, double bed. Bedroom 3, double bed. Bedroom 4, double bed.

Large sloped garden and steps leading up to seating area with views over the village - garden must be used with care at your own risk and may not be suitable for the elderly or small children due to its steepness. Bed linen and towels inclusive please state requirements when booking.Please note: The neighbouring holiday cottage has the right of way through the parking area to access their property. The Old Bakery is not suitable for more than eight people, including adults, children and babies and we can only accept bookings for a maximum of eight people at this property.
