"Beautiful house next to a lovely stretch of the Thames"
When we arrived at the house we were delighted - it was lovely and welcoming and it felt like a home rather than just a rental. The garden was great for the kids and for us. Our youngest son (7) loved his room and our daughter (15) enjoyed the privacy of the top floor. We had passed through Chiswick before, but never visited so we were not prepared for how beautiful that stretch of the river is and it is just 30 seconds from the house! Fantastic. There are good family and pet friendly pubs nearby with some great food. We had planned to spend a lot of time in central London, but I sort of wish we had left more time to stay nearer to the house and explore. The only downside is that it is a reasonably long walk to the nearest tube (at least it felt a long way in the rain), but this is a minor gripe and definitely not enough to stop me giving it a top rating of Excellent.
