Further details outdoors

Tilbury Farm is located above the village of West Bagborough, on the southern slopes of the Quantock Hills. An area of outstanding natural beauty, this area is famous for the poets Coleridge and Wordsworth who once lived and wrote here.

The farm commands stunning views across Taunton Deane towards the Blackdown Hills and west over Exmoor National Park.

Tilbury Farm was once part of the Cothelstone Estate whose beautiful parkland lies immediately below. This is therefore an ideal location for walking and cycling over a network of footpaths and bridleways across open moorland, wooded combes and rolling countryside.

Other local attractions include the West Somerset Steam Railway, Exmoor National Park, Hestercombe Gardens, Dunster Castle & Mill, the coast at Kilve Beach to the north.

There are great dining opportunities at the local village pub The Rising Sun (20 mins walk) as well as several other pubs, restaurants and tea rooms nearby. The county town of Taunton is only 15 mins drive with many restaurants as well as a weekly farmers market for self-catering. A well-stocked farmshop with local fresh produce including a wide range of deli items is located at Bishops Lydeard (5 mins drive) as well as a butchers and a general grocery store.
