enclosed outdoor kennel. The gardens extend to just over one with an above

ground plunge pool to cool down in on a hot summers day, a trampoline,

goalposts for a fun family kick about and an al fresco entertaining area for

BBQs and tasty meals in the sun.


lovely holiday home is in a pretty village surrounded by beautiful countryside

just waiting to be explored and the area has been made famous by the Poets,

Coleridge and Wordsworth who both lived and wrote here. If you feel like

getting out and about there is a wonderful country pub within walking distance

and you will be sure of plenty do in the area.

House is situated on the edge of the village of West Bagborough with the

Quantock Hills rising behind. The first ever designated area of outstanding

natural beauty. This area is famous for the poets Coleridge and Wordsworth who

one lived and wrote here.


is an exceptional local country pub with restaurant (walking distance) &

village amenities a short drive away, making this the perfect location for a

relaxing stay. The property offers access to a network of footpaths with

stunning countryside, perfect for cycling and dog walks, all the local pubs are

dog friendly too! There are also two local riding stables providing a leisurely

trot for all the family straight onto the Quantocks. Nearby is Cedar Falls Health Spa a renowned spa. It is situated in a stunning

location at the foot of the Quantock Hills. After

all this country air and rural relaxation one might decide it’s time to hit the

beach. Minehead is a 25 minute drive away with its bustling seafront and golden

sandy beaches. For a more tranquil dog friendly beach why not visit Kilve Beach

a fifteen minute drive to the North.


local attractions include the West Somerset Steam Railway which stops at all

the stations right up to Minehead including Watchet and Blue Anchor Harbour

(Dogs are welcome on the train too!), Exmoor National Park, Hestercombe Gardens

and Dunster Castle and Mill. The county town of Taunton is only fifteen minutes

drive with many shops and restaurants as well as a weekly farmers market. A

well stocked farm shop is only five minutes’ drive at Bishops Lydeard with a wide

range of deli items.Further afield is the magnificent Cheddar gorge. Which rises to 450ft

and spans three miles long making it the biggest gorge in the UK! There are

plenty of activities to do here, from walking and cycling to the more extreme

abseiling, climbing and adventure caving.

The Cathedral city of Exeter is only 35 minutes drive away, perfect for shopping and exploring. There are also lots of restaurants to please even fussy eaters, activities include theatres; sporting grounds; museums and the vast history of the cathedral and other city buildings.

There is another small Cathedral city called Wells, which is around forty minutes drive from

Parkgate House. Explore it’s fascinating medieval past and the unspoilt 13th

Century cathedral in the heart of the city. Wells also has a bustling market put

on twice a week, perfect for picking up a bargain or two on your stay.
