The National Park of Snowdonia and the Welsh coast are within easy access, and there are wonderful walks to be had around Lake Vyrnwy and Offa's Dyke. There is plenty to do for the family, with attractions including Ironbridge, Powis Castle and King Arthur's Labyrinth nearby. Shrewsbury is only 18 miles away and Chester, Birmingham and Liverpool are within easy access.
The Welshpool / Pool Quay area
Ride the Narrow Gauge Railway in Welshpool, visit Ironbridge's award winning museums, spend the day shopping in Shrewsbury or simply enjoy some fantastic walks in the stunning countryside and around local attractions such as the Wreakin, Rodney's Pillar, Lake Vyrnwy and Powis Castle.
How to get there

Easy access from the M54 and Shrewsbury or the North of England. Follow Birmingham and the South. Leave the M54 and follow the A5 to Shrewsbury and then follow signs for Welshpool.
On reaching Welshpool head North towards Oswestry on the A483 and Pool Quay is 2 miles on that road.
Pool Grange is on the left after Pool Quay church. From the North and Chester head south for Wrexham, continue on the A5/A483 through Oswestry and follow signs for Welshpool.
Pool Quay is found just after the long straight after Four Crosses. Pool Grange is on the right approximately 0.5mile after the Pool Quay sign.
