"A lovely location for exploring this part of Wales!"

Very warm welcome awaits! We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday here. The cottage was lovely and comfortable, clean and well appointed. The wood burner made the large kitchen and seating area warm and cosy. Would certainly recommend and will return.

"Peaceful, comfortable, amazing views & best nights sleep I've had in years."

We stayed at The Old Dairy Barn just as it opened and was one of the first guests. Because of this we got it at a great price & was asked to give the owners honest feed back and let them know of any improvements. Apart from a few tiny things that I believe have now been sorted I can honestly say it was a wonderful place for us and our 6yr old son to visit.

On arrival the wood burner was lit and it was so cosy we didn't want to leave. My son lived helping to feed the chickens & we had fresh eggs in the morning.

We enjoyed exploring the local area - Powys Castle is well worth a visit - and then returned for one of the best nights sleep I have ever had. It is so peaceful up there on top of the Welsh hills and the sense of space is awe inspiring.

It's not great if you want a lively night out but if you want to escape then a visit to the Dairy Barn is absolutely perfect. It is beautiful in the spring & I've seen that they have added a private deck which looks great for summer. But we are planning a return trip in the winter months when we can hunker down in front if the wood burner again.
