Home description
Front door into long narrow slate floor halled off which are the large living room with comfortable sofas and dining room (old pine table, chairs and dresser, french windows to the garden and patio ) linked by an arch to the kitchen. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, two double one with double bed and one with two single beds. A single room with a bed that has a pull out mattress the size of another single bed underneath it. single room has views over the Mendips. Bathroom upstair with shower/bath.

There are plenty of fun activities and places of interest for all the family to enjoy. Come and see the Witch of Wookey in Wookey Hole Caves and marvel as you wander through the prehistoric valley of the Dinosaurs. Cheddar Gorge & Caves are also well worth a visit. Glastonbury is a mere 15 minutes away. Steeped in legend and folklore. Famous for the Abbey, the Tor and the festival. Popular haunt of New Age Travellers and Alternative Health Practitioners.
Spend a fun-packed day with over 400 amazing species from lions to love beetles at Bristol Zoo. With most of the exhibits under cover, you can enjoy your visit whatever the weather. Experience animal encounters and feeding times. Try to beat the animal record breakers in the Zoolympics then take a bite to eat at the Pelican Restaurant which serves hot meals and snacks. There is also a shop to pick up gifts and souvenirs.
Wells / Dinder area
Visit the beautiful Cathedral in Wells with magnificent Gothic carvings, scissors vault to brace the building against shifting medieval foundations and chapter house in Britains smallest city. More akin to a country market town Wells is the perfect base to enjoy local attractions including racing at Wincanton and Bath, golf at Wells and near Oakhill, sailing and fishing at Chew Valley and Blagdon lakes.
Market days are Wednesday and Saturday and held in the central market place. Whilst throughout the year a series of concerts are held in the Cathedral and the famous Bridgewater Illuminated Carnival proceeds through Wells during the first two weeks of November. Bath International Music Festival runs for two months during June and July.
How to get there
We would recommend a car for getting to Rose Cottage. Bristol Airport is 20 miles away and Easyjet flies in and out of here daily.
