The Retreat is a welcoming cottage and is sitiuated on the Dorset and Somerset border in the lovely hamlet of Sampford Moor. This barn conversion has a cosy sitting room, which contains an electric woodburner effect fire. The Retreat sleeps four and has two bedrooms - one double and one twin. It also has a bathroom, well equipped fitted kitchen with dining area and can boast breathtaking views of the Vale of Taunton Dene. It also has the added bonus of off road parking and a pub next door. Close to The Retreat is the superb Exmoor National Park which is a haven for walkers, wildlife enthusiasts and cyclists. The North Somerset coast is also nearby. The Retreat is ideal for a romantic break and for exploring the stunning countryside the area offers.

Nearby is the town of Wellington, which has a number of shops and is also close to the stunning Blackdown Hills, which are part of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Within driving distance from Sampford Moor is the breathtaking Exmoor National Park, covering 267 square miles and has wonderful hills and valleys. Walking, cycling, horse riding, climbing, canoeing and fishing can all be enjoyed. The National Park is also home to the famous wild ponies. Close by is the superb Watchet, which has a marina, port and shops and also worth visiting is Porlock Weir and the popular seaside town of Mainhead. Sampford Moor and the beautiful countryside nearby is perfect for a peaceful break.
