A charming private villa, from 1930's, colonial style, renovated in 2009, in a beautiful big garden

Main house: Master bedroom attached bathroom, study with extra bed and spacious middle lounge section also with extra bed

The kitchen with verandah is in a separate building, the main house and kitchen are attached by a traditional porch.

On the other side of the garden we have a small separate guesthouse with an attached open bathroom and own verandah

You can also take a shower in the sun, next to the secluded well

Singha Paya, the name of the house meaning Lion's Den, is in Thalaramba, a small typical southern Sri Lankan village.

It lays in between two temples, 10 minutes from the bay of Merissa town, 5 minutes from quiet fisherman's bay. Both excellent sunbathing/ swimming locations

our house is situated in between a beautiful fisherman's bay, perfect for swimming and a lake with a 400 year old temple

Next door is the small village temple, and you walk to the main road to get to busier Mirissa alongside the big temple

"Best Place in Mirissa - we found Tranquility."
