"Perfect holiday for young children and teens, lots to do and see, stunning"
We have spent two beautiful summer holidays here (2009 and 2010). I took a risk as I saw Austria on the TV and wanted to visit in the summer, my husband wasn't so sure. It met my expectations and more, my husband and family (daughter now 5 and son now 14) agreed. Some days we visited mountains, went mountain biking (down the mountain was most fun), visited lakes and set sail, rode the the cable cars and came down on the dry luge (tobogan run), and on others we went across the road to the pool to enjoy the sunshine. I would wholly recommend buying a Karnten card, this allows free entry to the above attractions, pools etc and saves a heap of cash (you can buy them in the village). We even returned home with £200! We hired a car for the duration of the holiday, which is I think, essential and because we live in the Midlands, flew into Venice the first year and Trieste the second (this is a much better drive). Sue and Bryn are fabulous, so helpful and friendly. The apartments are lovely, spacious and clean equipt with everything you could need. The mountains and lakes have definitely won our hearts and we will be returning next year (2012), we've missed it very much.
