With a selection of pubs, including The George, a beautifully renovated 15th Century Coaching Inn that over time has adopted Georgian features and has stood the test of time, now being a popular café and pub.Wedmore is a conservation village, beautifully in tact , with hardly any change to the original street design giving you the feeling of stepping back in time.

The small Cathedral City of Wells is only an 8 mile drive from this enchanting holiday cottage – explore its fascinating medieval past and the unspoilt 13th Century cathedral in the heart of the city. Wells also has a bustling market, twice a week – perfect for picking up a bargain or two on your stay.No luxury break at The Cottage in Wedmore is complete without a visit to Cheddar Gorge! Just a 5 mile drive away. Cheddar Gorge rises to 450ft and spans three miles long making it the biggest gorge in the UK! There are plenty of activities to do here, from walking and cycling to the more extreme abseiling, climbing and adventure caving!Glastonbury is also very close, ideal if you are looking for a little luxury during a visit to the famous festival, The Cottage is within a 20 minute drive. Glastonbury offers plenty more to see and do, with a lovely bustling town, ancient ruins of Glastonbury Abbey once one of the largest and richest Abbeys in England! Take the time to stroll across the 36 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens surrounding the ruins – in bloom the entire year round. Just outside the town lies Glastonbury Tor; climb to the top of the hill and visit St Michaels Tower whilst enjoying the most spectacular views over the Somerset Levels. From galleries, independent boutiques to high street chains and designer shops, Bath really does have it all. As well as plenty of museums, gardens and architecture to explore (don’t pass up a trip to the Royal Crescent!)
