The cottage

is truly charming with many antiques and vintage finds sourced both in England

and France and open fireplaces offering a lovely warm welcome. With two sitting

rooms there is space for all and after a busy day out you will be spoilt for

choice on which of the two to while away the time with a glass of wine or a

book! A special welcome pack courtesy of the owner will be waiting for you,

including delectable delights locally produced from the village.

After a

wonderful first night in your luxurious bed and enjoying a soak in the luxury

bateau bath why not plan a day trip to Bath or Wells, they are both within easy

reach and have so much to see and do. If you fancy a paddle head off to the

wonderful sandy beaches of Western Super Mare and Burnham-on-Sea are within

easy reach.

The Cottage is located in a central position in the charming village of Wedmore, conveniently located between the Cathedral City of Wells and the sandy beaches at Burnham-On-Sea. With a selection of pubs, including The George, a beautifully renovated 15th Century Coaching Inn that over time has adopted Georgian features and has stood the test of time, now being a popular café and pub.Wedmore is a conservation village, beautifully in tact , with hardly any change to the original street design giving you the feeling of stepping back in time.

The village has everything you would need, you can literally park in the free local car park or often directly outside the cottage and leave the car there until the end of your stay.There is a highly regarded restaurant, The Swan, which has won more than 9 Awards of Excellence and is within easy walk of the cottage. The area is prime for bird watching, with the natural landscape rich in nutrients making The Cottage the perfect base to explore the surrounding natural habitats.If it's shopping you are after locally you can reach Clarks designer outlet within 15 minutes offering over 90 stores and plenty of cafes and restaurants to entertain the family.The small Cathedral City of Wells is only an 8 mile drive from this enchanting holiday cottage – explore its fascinating medieval past and the unspoilt 13th Century cathedral in the heart of the city. Wells also has a bustling market,

twice a week – perfect for picking up a bargain or two on your stay.No luxury break at The Cottage in Wedmore is complete without a visit to Cheddar Gorge! Just a 5 mile drive away. Cheddar Gorge rises to 450ft and spans three miles long making it the biggest gorge in the UK! There are plenty of activities to do here, from walking and cycling to the more extreme abseiling, climbing and adventure caving!Glastonbury is also very close, ideal if you are looking for a little luxury during a visit to the famous festival, The Cottage is within a 20 minute drive. Glastonbury offers plenty more to see and do, with a lovely bustling town, ancient ruins of Glastonbury Abbey once one of the largest and richest Abbeys in England! Take the time to stroll across the 36 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens surrounding the ruins – in bloom the entire year round. Just outside the town lies Glastonbury Tor; climb to the top of the hill and visit St Michaels Tower whilst enjoying the most spectacular views over the Somerset Levels.
