There is plenty to do in the area walking, beaches, sea fishing, fresh water fishing, kayaking, Killarney national park for the day or just being lazy and staying at home.

Beaches:there is a sandy beach in Waterville,but a short pleasant drive away is Caherdaniel beach with sheltered coves,very nice and safe for children.Plenty of walking around for experienced or casual to mention some,The kerry way,macgillycuddy's reeks and Beentee loop walk
