The County Kerry region
The County Kerry is part of the mystical & unspoilt region of Ireland that has attracted visitors for hundreds of years. Its spectacular beauty is beyond question and it is a natural centre for outdoor pursuits including golf, watersports, cycling, walking, riding and the very best fishing for salmon & trout.
The Ring of Kerry has some of the finest beaches in Europe that provide all the facilities for a traditional seaside holiday. Above all the Ring of Kerry provides an amazing insight into the ancient heritage of Ireland - see the Iron Age Forts & Ogham Stones, Old Monasteries and a landscape carved out of rock by the last Ice Age 10,000 years ago. Visitors to Ireland should not miss a trip to the beautiful County Kerry.

Walking At 215km, the world renowned Kerry Way is Ireland's longest signposted walking trail and also one of the most popular. It starts and finishes in Killarney. Looping around the Iveragh Peninsula, where Cuanbeg is located, the Kerry Way goes anti-clockwise, passing through some of the most isolated and dramatic countryside in the country. Whilst Kerry is renowned for having the highest mountains in Ireland, the Kerry Way avoids the higher peaks and opts for the lower reaches of mountain ridges. The trail progresses through a variety of different landscapes and experiences, giving the walker a wider appreciation for County Kerry
Golf Consistently ranked among the Top 10 courses in the world, Waterville and Ballybunion are truly mystical Links in the Kingdom of Kerry. Other jewels in the crown include the Old Head of Kinsale, Tralee, Ceann Sibéal and Dooks. ??For those who want to experience something different, but no less challenging, there are a number of superb parkland courses all within easy reach. "Highly recommended! We spent a fabulous week here while on our Honeymoon in Ireland. The facilities and accommodation are first class with an attention to detail that you dont often find in self catering accommodation.
Every luxury, applicance and convenience was provided. The rooms are tastefully decorated, beds are large and comfortable, the kitchen is very spacious and contains everything you might need, the open plan lounge / dining area is beautifully decorated and provisioned right down to the selection of music cd's and dvd's to add that little personal touch that we so appreciated.
The large 6 seater hot tub / spa situated just outside the lounge / bbq/ patio area has stunning panoramic views over the valley and is completely private, we spent many an hour lazing around in the hot tub soaking in the lovely 37 degree water (We Honeymooned during late August) while periodically attending the bbq.
I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a 5 star stay in Southern Ireland. Everything first class."
"Cuanbeg is a refurbished cottage located a few miles from Waterville. It was exactly what we were looking for as it is about 10 minutes by car from Waterville with all it has to offer and to the beautiful beach at Ballinskelligs (even though the weather wasn't ideal for swimming).
While it is close to all local attractions and amenities, it's location is nothing short of stunning and from the outdoor hot tub, we enjoyed the view looking out over miles of unspoilt countryside.
The cottage has three bedrooms including a loft bedroom which we didn't need. It is beautifully furnished and equipped. It even has an extensive CD collection to enjoy.
We will be back
