This superb cottage is situated in a spectacular location at Lohar, completed 2007 first letting 2008. Nestled between mountains and sea overlooking the Atlantic Ocean on the Ring of Kerry and close to the renowned seaside village of Waterville.

The cottage is unlike any other holiday home with its traditional style and superb and original design features, which give it a unique captivating character, and charm, which is totally in harmony with its surroundings.
The sitting room, the dining room, kitchen and the master bedroom all have fantastic and spectacular sea and mountain views.

The cottage offers stunning views of the Skellig Rocks and Ballinskellig Bay. The area is renowned for its beauty and is steeped in history. The tranquillity and peace which the location offers is unsurpassable. A quite secluded beach that is within minutes of the cottage is suitable for swimming fishing and diving.

The County Kerry region

The Ring of Kerry is part of the most famous and unspoilt regions in the South West of Ireland. It is a famous and popular road circuit that follows the coastline of the Iveragh Peninsula.

Its spectacular beauty is beyond question with its many tourist sites along the way. It is a natural centre for outdoor pursuits including golf, watersports, cycling, walking, horse riding, and the best lake and sea fishing famous for its superb salmon and trout.

It is steeped in history you will be provided with an amazing insight into the ancient heritage of Ireland with its spectacular examples of Iron Age Forts, Ogham Stones, and Old Monasteries.


Waterville / Lohar area

The cottage is situated in Lohar just minutes from Waterville “An Coirean” “The Little Whirlpool” which nestles between Balinskelligs Bay and Lough Currane.

The area has some of the best seafood restaurants in Ireland. There are lots of traditional pubs which serve very good food and provide music and entertainment.

A quite secluded beach that is within minutes of the cottage is suitable for swimming fishing and diving.
There are daily trips to the Skellig Rock from Portmagee. Skellig Rock which you can see from the cottage on waking in the morning is a trip that must not be missed. See the 12th century monastic settlement ,words can not describe the magic and beauty of this extraordinary place.

Also at your doorstep is Valentia Island with its slate quarry the scenic Skellig Ring and famous chocolate factory.

In the opposite direction over the hill you can experience more wonderful sights and a superb range of beaches. Visit Daniel O’Connell’s restored house museum and heritage centre and beautiful gardens. The amount of superb stunning sights are far too numerous to mention here come see for yourself you will not be disappointed.

Located 2.4km off the famous "Ring of Kerry " and 4.8km from the seaside village of Waterville. From Killarney take N72 to Killorgan then the N70 to Waterville .

The house comprises of a spacious sitting room with a large bay window with traditional stone window seats and patio doors opening to the front of the house.

It also has a large stone fireplace which provides a stunning feature in the room. The kitchen and dining room are designed in the traditional old Irish country cottage style with high ceilings and exposed beams and old Irish dresser and provides all mod cons and equipment.

The master bedroom is also of a traditional design with a high ceiling and exposed beams and a large walk-in wardrobe. Awake each morning to a breathtaking vista. The whole house has been tastefully furnished to a very high quality standard.
