Cista Cottage is a detached 4 bedroom property located between the towns of Waterville and Caherdaniel in a spectacularly scenic area of the Ring of Kerry.
The Cottage is single storey with two single bedrooms, a twin bedroom with two single beds and a double bedroom with a double bed. The single bedrooms have spectacular views out over the Atlantic Ocean. The double bedroom also has spectacular views out over the ocean and is en-suite with a generously sized power shower. The twin bedroom has views of the mountains and is also en-suite with a power shower.
There is also a modern kitchen and dining room with an open stone clad fireplace, an entrance lobby / store room and a bathroom with bath and separate shower.
The cottage is in an ideal location to cater for walkers with Ireland's longest way-marked trail, The Kerry Way, within 50metres of the rear garden. There are also many beautiful scenic walks on the quiet roads between the cottage and the sea.
For golfers the world renowned Waterville Links Course is 5 miles away and the Skellig Bay Parkland course, set in a spectacularly scenic location, is within 2 miles.
For sightseeing the cottage is located on the Ring of Kerry and is in an ideal location to explore the wider region of Kerry.

The region, within easy access from the cottage by car, is renowned for its scenary and is a haven for tourists. Access to the Ring of Kerry tour, 110 miles long taking in Killorgan, Glenbeigh, Cahersiveen, Waterville, Sneem, Kenmare and Killarney is on the doorstep. With spectacular views out over the Athlantic Ocean, looking out towards the Skellig Rocks, Cista Cottage is located within some of the most beautiful scenery of the ring. Derrynane Beach, with the clear Atlantic water and pristine white sand is a short drive away. Derrynane also has the museum of Daniel O Connell who was known as "The Liberator" due to his representation of the Irish Nation during the occupation of Ireland by the English. Loher Fort, an old stone fort 20m diameter, built in the early Christian period, is visible from the house and can be accessed during a leisurly walk from the cottage. Boat trips are available a short drive from the cottage to the world famous Skellig Rocks Heritage Site where one can discover how the monks lived as hermits before the invasion of Ireland by the Vikings and how that way of life was changed by coming to Ireland of the Vikings. The famous famine village and artist's retreat at Cill Rialaig where a famine village has been restored to an artist's retreat, is a 15 kilometre drive from the cottage.
