"Excellent house with beautiful views"
This house was really fantastic with incredible views from all parts of the house over Lough Currane and the surrounding mountains, when the sun was shining (and it did for 5 out of the 7 days) we felt we were looking over a vista from continental europe. The house was incredible spacious and the best room for us was the sun/reading room which Maureen has stocked with a large selection of books to choose from and with maravellous views over the lake, sitting down there with a cup of tea and a book was a quick way to unwind after the a full day with the kids!. The location is just about a 3 minute drive to the village and beach of Waterville and there is a playground on the way down which we found very convenient. May I also say that Maureen the owner was a really excellent person to deal with who provided the little touches in the house like a little teddy and dolly in the bedrooms for the kids and also just the more functional items in the house were provided for, like dishwasher tablets and bin bags the sort of things that aren't provided in some of those awful self catering villages and which really make the difference and give it that personal touch. We would definitely recommend this house and if we are down that way again we will be looking it up. Fergal Connolly
