Island View is a quaint, charming semi-detached cottage and a very comfortable holiday retreat for two. Set in an area of great natural beauty with an abundance of wildlife and wonderful walks close by, this cosy atmospheric cottage is ideal for couples or single travellers, looking for a highland get-away.

Island View enjoys magnificent views across Loch Dunvegan to Dunvegan Head. The lounge and dining area are perfectly positioned for enjoying the best of the views, allowing you to take pleasure in that fantastic scenery from the comfort of your armchair and by the warmth of the fire. The traditional stone fireplace exudes cosy cottage warmth, and is a welcome addition during cooler summer evenings, and creates a cosy hideaway during the winter months.

The kitchen is well equipped with an electric cooker, fridge-freezer, washing machine and microwave as well as all kitchen appliances and cooking utensils you'll need. A small hatch between this kitchen and living area creates a sociable open plan feeling, allowing guests to continue socialising whilst lounging in front of the fire, or 'cooking up a storm' in the kitchen.

The master double bedroom has views to the rear of the property, and has adjoining en-suite facilities with WC, wash hand basin and electric shower over the bath tub.

The cottage is set in 4 ½ acres of croft land. Part of this has been fenced off and is now home to two very friendly Highland Ponies. Native to the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, they make a great addition to the character of the croft. There is parking space to the front of the house.

Dunhallin forms part of the larger area known as Waternish on the north west of the Island, and is home to Skye's oldest Inn – The Stein Inn. Other local attractions include the award winning 'Skye Skyns' – a working tannery, the Lochbay Seafood Restaurant, a dive centre and numerous local art galleries and craft shops. The closest village is Dunvegan some 5 miles away which has good local services including shops, hotels and restaurants and the world famous Dunvegan Castle.
