Would you like your very own piece of England? When you hire Guyzance Hall, this wonderful 19th century Country House is yours for the duration of your stay. With breathtaking views across one of England's most beautiful counties, Guyzance Hall stands in 800 acres with private salmon and trout fishing on the River Coquet which runs through the Estate.
With tastefully furnished rooms, the Hall retains a timeless elegance but with all the modern luxuries you could require. Hire of the Hall also includes the Garden Cottage which adjoins the Ballroom on the east wing. Guyzance Hall has beautifully appointed rooms with a traditional decor in keeping with the history of the house. Each bedroom in the Hall is individually designed with en-suite or private bathrooms or shower rooms.
The gardens and grounds of Guyzance Hall are truly spectacular, with plenty of activities for everyone, with a Games Room with snooker table, indoor swimming pool and tennis court. There are a further 3 holiday cottages on the estate, which can be hired separately or in conjunction with the Hall for large groups.
Guyzance Hall is let on a self catering basis, however we are happy to arrange catering for you or any entertainment you should require, like a murder mystery party or archery. Whether you are after a relaxing holiday in peaceful surroundings or celebrating a landmark birthday, anniversary or wedding, Guyzance Hall has everything you could wish for to make your stay truly unforgettable.

Guyzance Hall is perfect for large groups with plenty of rooms for entertaining and relaxing so guests never feel crowded. The elegant Drawing Room has an open fire and full length windows overlooking the gardens making it ideal on winter evenings and warm summer days. The wood panelled Dining Room has a long table seating 20 people plus an additional table in the window alcove seating 10, and guests can also use the Ballroom for meals if they prefer where individual round tables or a long U-shaped table can be provided on request. The magnificent Edwardian Ballroom has fireplaces, coffered ceiling and minstrels' gallery and is the perfect room for large parties. There is also an informal Library with TV and DVD player, a Breakfast Room for more informal meals and well equipped Kitchen with aga, electric oven, microwave and dishwasher. Upstairs, the 12 bedrooms have been decorated with the ultimate comfort in mind. Each room has an en-suite or private bath or shower room with luxury towels and toiletries.
A door from the Ballroom leads through to Garden Cottage which has a cosy lounge with open fire and dining table, a well equipped kitchen and ground floor shower room with WC. Upstairs there is a double, a twin and a single bedroom and further bathroom with bath and shower over. The Cottage also has another door leading into the courtyard where the Games Room is located containing a snooker table. The tennis court is next to Garden Cottage and the indoor swimming pool is located about 5 minutes walk from the Hall.
Accommodation comprises:
Ground Floor - Ballroom (with disabled access), Drawing Room, Library, Dining Room, Kitchen, Breakfast Room, Utility Room and 2 Cloakrooms with WC.
First Floor - Bedroom 1 with double bed and en-suite shower room; Bedroom 2 with twin beds and en-suite shower room; Bedroom 3 with double bed (can separate to make twins) and en-suite shower room; Master Bedroom 4 with double bed and en-suite with roll top bath and separate shower unit; Bedroom 5 with double bed (can separate to make twins) and private shower room opposite; Bedroom 6 with double bed and en-suite shower room, connecting door to; Master Bedroom 7 with double bed, sofa and easy chairs in bay window, fireplace and private bathroom opposite with bath and separate shower unit; Bedroom 8 with double bed and private bathroom opposite with bath with shower over; Bedroom 9 with double bed (can separate to make twins) and en-suite with roll top bath and separate shower unit.
Second Floor - Tower Bedroom 1 with double bed and en-suite shower room; Tower Bedroom 2 with double bed and en-suite shower room; Tower Bedroom 3 with doouble bed and en-suite shower room.
Garden Cottage - 1 double, 1 twin and 1 single bedroom, 1 bathroom, 1 shower room, lounge/ dining room, kitchen.

Outside is an all weather tennis court next to Garden Cottage and an indoor swimming pool with changing rooms, located about 5 minutes walk from the Hall. The tennis court and pool can also be used by guests in the other 3 holiday cottages but with allocated timeslots to ensure privacy. The Hall has its own private Games Room located in the main courtyard with full sized snooker table, croquet set and various board games.
The private gardens of Guzance Hall are spectacular with sweeping lawns, topiary garden and Victorian walled garden. There is also a patio and barbecues. The 800 acre estate is perfect for long walks and has an abundance of wildlife including red squirrels. Salmon and trout fishing is available on our private stretch of the River Coquet, along with the services of our gillie.

29 guests allowed in Hall and Garden Cottage plus up to 4 additional children under 5 years of age.
£20 for first dog and £10 per subsequent dog with max of 3 allowed.
£500 damage deposit required.
Hen/ stag parties not allowed.
Conditions
Disabled access via Ballroom to ground floor only but no lift to upstairs rooms. Bed can be brought into lounge of Garden Cottage for disabled guests as it has a ground floor shower room.
The Northern England / Northumberland region


Guyzance Hall has breathtaking views over one of England's finest counties. Northumberland has a dramatic coastline boasting sandy beaches as well as a National Park, there is plenty to do for all ages and interests. Northumberland has more castles and fortifications than any other county in England and is steeped in history. Nearby attractions include Alnwick Castle, which some might know as Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films, Bamburgh Castle, Hadrian's Wall and the island of Lindisfarne. There are plenty of leisure activities on offer in the region, from sailing and watersports to gliding and hot air ballooning, and the county is paradise for walkers and cyclists.
The Warkworth / Guyzance area
Guyzance Estate covers 800 acres and has plenty to do for everyone. The River Coquet runs through the Estate and has some of the best salmon and trout fishing in the UK. Our 3 mile stretch of the river can be fished by guests of the Hall and Cottages and we have a gillie on hand to help out. There are many walks to be had for all abilities and plenty of wildlife to be seen including red squirrels. We can arrange for activities on the Estate, such as archery. There is an indoor heated swimming pool and tennis court which are shared by guests of the Hall and the Cottages with allocated timeslots for each, ensuring privacy. There are opportunities for golf and horse riding locally as well as watersports, with the sea being 3 miles away from the Hall. The local towns of Alnwick and Warkworth have all the shops you will need and plenty of pubs and restaurants.

Guyzance Hall is located 26 miles north of Newcastle upon Tyne, 8 miles south of Alnwick and 96 miles south of Edinburgh. Only 3 miles inland from the beautiful Northumbrian coast, the Hall is easily accessible by road, rail and air. The nearest railway station is Alnmouth (4 miles) which has regular services to Newcastle and Edinburgh. The nearest airport is Newcastle (26 miles) which is served by domestic and international airlines including British Airways, Ryanair, easyjet, Flybe, Aer Lingus and Eastern Airways.
From the A1 northbound, the road becomes single carriageway after Morpeth. Approximately 2 miles after the road becomes dual carriageway again, there is a right hand turn signposted for Guyzance. Follow road for approximately 2 miles over small bridge and turn left for Guyzance, entrance to Guyzance Hall is half a mile on the right.
