This well furnished flat is ideal for a family holiday in the south of England. The historic town of Royal Windsor with its Castle is only 15 minutes drive away through the beautiful Windsor Great Park, with the River Thames, Eton, Legoland close by and among the many other attractions. Golfers are spoilt for choice with the famous Wentworth and Sunningdale courses nearby as well as many others within easy range. Rowing and boating are on the river at Windsor, Marlow and Henley, and the 2013 Championship rowing regatta will be at Dorney Lake only 20 minutes by car. Horse racing is at Ascot and Windsor and polo at Virginia Water.
There are many opportunities for walking, hiking and riding locally. Swimming pool complexes are at Windsor and Bracknell. A dry ski slope and ice rink, and also the Look Out adventure centre are in Bracknell. Typical English pubs abound and there are plenty of restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets. Local shops are ten minutes walk away and further shopping is at Windsor, Reading, Bracknell, Staines and of course London (less than 60 minutes by train).

One bedroom has a double bed and the other two single beds, both bedrooms are of good size and there are fitted wardrobes and plenty of drawer space. Access to the private enclosed patio garden (with garden furniture) is through the second bedroom or by the passage at the side of the flat. The lounge/diner is again good size and comfortably furnished with two settees dining table and four chairs. The kitchen has recently been refurbished and is fully equipped. The bathroom has also been recently refurbished has a bath with overhead shower. The flat is fully centrally heated. Small steps to front door.

This ground floor flat is in a block of three built about 18 years ago on a modern estate and close to open countryside. The off road parking space adjoins the flat and is large enough to take a people carrier
Although we live in France we are English and have contacts locally who have an excellent knowledge of the area and the flat and are able to answer any queries.
The Berkshire region
Berkshire is a very varied and historic 'Royal' county with a great deal of interest to suit all ages. There are a number of large towns within easy reach such as Windsor, Reading etc. as well as many small picturesque villages. Many of these are situated along the River Thames which flows through the county and past Windsor Castle on its way to London and the sea. With many rural areas and woodland the county is particularly lovely in Spring and Autumn. A good starting point for the south and also the west of England and south Wales with good motorways running through the county.
Warfield is a relatively new community developed over the last 30 years or so. The various developments have been tastefully carried out to blend into the surrounding countryside and open fields are only a short walk away from the flat. Many of the original old country houses in the region remain.
Royal Ascot race week in June, the Royal Windsor Horse Show in May, polo throughout the summer, concerts in The Great Park all draw large crowds. Legoland at Windsor is a major attraction particularly for the youngsters and a thoroughly good day out. Trips on the river and picnics on the banks feeding the swans are always fun.
Dorney Lake rowing championships are some 20 minutes away from the flat.

"Great holiday accommodation"
We stayed at Clock House on 3 separate occasions while holidaying in Uk April/May 2012. Each time the accommodation was immaculately clean and met our needs wonderfully. It was so much better having a flat than staying in B&B's as we have done on previous holidays. It really was like coming home each time we returned. We were able to have relatives over for dinner, and with a large supermarket 5 mins walk away it was very easy. We did not have a rental car but managed very easily with the local bus which left from the supermarket on a regular basis. The bus station in the nearby town of Bracknell is across the road from the train station, so getting into London Waterloo was no problem. Easy access to Reading is also from Bracknell station by either train or bus. The key system used is wonderfully easily, so arriving the first time at 1am (flight from Australia was delayed) was no problem. The owners are easily contactable and the local contact person was very helpful with a small problem we encountered. The flat is situated in a lovely quiet residential street so no noisy traffic at night or day, With our son and his family living locally we certainly will book Clock House any time we visit the UK, and would recommend any other friends or relations do likewise.

The flat was perfect for our needs, my wife and I, and two 'older ladies. It was convenient to the railway for going to London, had a supermarket close by, and allowed ready access for our travels north to Donington and south to Beaulieu and Brighton. It was well equipped and the central heating was much appreciated by us Aussies. We would recommend it to any family looking for a convenient, modern, fully equpped flat near enough to London and Windsor.
