Holiday suite with help yourself breakfast. Greenhills is a bed and breakfast with a difference, situated on Winfrith Heath in the Purbeck region of Dorset. It is only 4 miles from the coast at Durdle Door and nearby Lulworth Cove. Brand new annexe, built in 2013.
We offer the facilities of a holiday let with the added bonus of a stocked fridge and cupboard for breakfast.
The property offers accommodation for up to 6 people in 3 rooms plus travel cot if required. We only rent the space for one couple, family or group at a time so guests are afforded complete privacy for their stay.
Guests have a private large lounge / dining and kitchen area opening up to a private terrace with lovely Westerly views and beautiful sunsets. From the lounge guests can see the free range chicken, with food available to feed them. We also have sheep and turkeys in the Summer / Autumn.
One double room with ensuite shower room with rainfall shower. One twin with DVD player, 3rd room with bunk beds. Additional bathroom for groups / families using 2 or more rooms.
We can provide equipment such as a 3 wheel off road pram, steriliser, cot, activity mat, baby walker, games and bikes at no extra charge so guests can travel as light as possible. We don't charge extra for school holidays.
We also have a large field for those who wish to bring their horse and take advantage of the extensive bridleways in the area.
We are directly opposite heathland for bridleways and great walking. On a popular cycling route. Walking distance to two great pubs which are family friendly.
3D TV, DVD player and Wii for wet weather.
We have a policy of no hidden costs and keep a simple pricing structure - no increases for school holidays.

3 miles from the sea. Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door are the closest beaches.
Local vibrant village shop selling local produce including my cakes!
Near towns at Wareham, Dorchester and Poole with more extensive facilities.
Nearest train station is Wool.

Things to Do
We are situated within Purbeck often described as an island, but in reality it is 60 square miles of land that is surrounded almost completely by water, technically making it a peninsula.
There are castles, old churches, parks, and miles of shorelines (The Jurassic Coast) each section with its own unique features.You will find resort areas, like the traditional seaside resort of Swanage with its sandy beaches, the markets of Wareham and quaint villages with rustic country pubs.
To the West of Winfrith is the country market town of Dorchester with numerous shops, restaurants and a brand new cinema and restaurant complex at The Brewery. A market is held in Dorchester every Wednesday.
Weymouth is 9 miles away to the South West and is a typical seaside resort with a large sandy bay, large marina and harbour, amusement arcades and numerous pubs, restaurants and takeaways. A park and ride operates daily.
Beyond Weymouth is Portland, home of the 2012 Olympics. This is on a peninsular and has Portland Bill lighthouse which hosts guided tours.
More locally and across Dorset there are numerous footpaths, bridleways and cycle routes for the active tourist.

Thanks for the lovely review. Point noted about the shower - will try to remember to give a quick demo in future! I hadn't advertised having wifi for the reason you mention although as you point out it does work nearer to the main house. Something to consider for next year as I'm aware more people want IT access on holiday now.

"A warm welcome to excellent accommodation and location and facilites."
The accommodation is very spacious and a lot of thought has gone into making it very comfortable. The facilities are new and it is very much home from home. It's great to have all that space to yourselves and the open aspect lounge with it's large opening doors onto the patio is perfect to come home to after a day out. We loved the do it yourself breakfast which meant we could please ourselves when we got up and ate. The friendly owners are on hand for any advice or help needed and they do make you feel very welcome and go 'the extra mile'.
The location is rural and peaceful and very convenient for accessing many of Dorset's lovely spots including 2 pubs in walking distance. Truly a real gem and we will be back.

"Relaxed and friendly self catering property, set in beautiful countryside. All you could want from a long weekend."
I stayed here in March this year and everything from the booking process, to the hosts, and the great nights sleep were excellent.
The property is modern and fresh, and looks like it has been very recently renovated. The decoration is all creams and whites and calming colours and creates an extremely relaxing atmosphere. We stayed in the double room with en suite and the bed is extremely comfortable. The host, Julie Trent was very welcoming on arrival, made sure we had everything we needed, even provided a selection of foods for breakfast and then left us to enjoy our stay.
We were also very lucky with wonderful sunny weather so were able to take advantage of breakfasting outside on the private terrace, the wonderful walks nearby and then ending up cooking a great meal in the very well equipped kitchen and eating dinner outside under the stars. Perfect. There is also a lovely country pub within a very short walk where we had a relaxing evening of drinks the following evening. Definitely recommend a visit.
The property is set in a large amount of land with ducks, hens, a pond and plenty of space for children to run around. They also welcome pets, so would recommend this to anyone who wants to go away with their dogs to go for the long beautiful walks along the coast.
