Cottage | 4 bedrooms | sleeps 8
Truly a Dream Cottage, The Old Bakery is a Grade II listed thatched cottage in the beautiful coastal village of West Lulworth. Just renovated, the cottage has a luxurious standard throughout and includes interior design touches, fittings and furnishings which are a pleasure to behold and ensure guests have a delightful stay. Just a few minutes stroll from the cottage leads to a pedestrian walk down to the cove famous for its geologically unique and beautiful cove, and the Dorset Coastal Path is just a stroll away, along the way ice cream shops and seafood shacks tempt visitors. Here also you will find two pubs serving food and offering views. Another pub just a minute away The Castle Inn is pet friendly and has a good garden (which maybe shut between December-15th February for annual maintenance work). The nearby Durdle Door, a large rock formation likened to a doorway, arising from the sea, is a must visit attraction; a popular beach offering snorkelling and cliff walks. If visiting in the summer do try to manage an outing to Lulworth Castle to watch the jousting knights. A lazy trip along the coast will take you to Swanage in the East and Weymouth in the West. Days can be filled with activities such as a boat ride along the Coast, walking along the World Heritage Status coastline searching for fossils or exploring the many geological and historical sites nearby.
