The Mortimer Trail and walks to Hergest Ridge provide visitors to the region with the chance to see the inspiration for music by Elgar and Mike Oldfield whilst the market town of Hay-on-Wye - often called the 'town of books' is within easy driving distance. Hereford too is not far and offers an impressive Norman cathedral and the famous Mappa Mundi.
