Cornish charm in abundance can be found at Fernleigh Cottage, which is located in one of Cornwall's best kept secrets – St Mabyn, a pretty little village which is nestled between the vibrant town of Wadebridge and the former County Town of Bodmin. Convenient for sightseeing as it is also equidistant between the two major Cornish trunk roads the A30 and the A39 Atlantic Highway - access to the huge range of attractions that Cornwall has to offer is easy from here.

Fernleigh Cottage is the perfect retreat with oodles of charm and is within walking distance of the local Inn. Perfect for that pint of local ale or cool glass of wine after a hard day at the beach! It is also a short drive from the popular beaches of Rock, Polzeath, Padstow and Port Isaac. Dogs are welcome and with miles of Moorland and the Camel Trail on your doorstep, you'll find yourself with plenty of options for all types of holidays. Add to that some fantastic attractions such as the Eden Project and Cornwall's Crealy Amusement Park just around the corner and your entertainment is sorted!

You enter the cottage from the front door into a porch area which leads into the spacious, beamed living area which is well furnished with settee and arm chairs, coffee table and plenty of occasional seating and an attractive fireplace and log burner making it very cosy. The kitchen/dining area is accessed from the lounge and has plenty of cupboard space as well as a fridge freezer, washing machine, dish washer, electric cooker, microwave and kettle. A large pine table provides ample dining space.

The bathroom is on the ground floor and is well equipped with shower over the bath. The back door leads to the lovely enclosed garden with its sizeable lawn and patio with seating to soak up the afternoon sun or from where you can star gaze of an evening.

The staircase is located in the lounge and takes you up to the first floor which has three bedrooms – a large double, one single and a twin making this suitable to sleep 5.

Heating and water are oil fired.

All linen and towels are included.

The West Country region

Cornwall conjures up so many images of the perfect holiday to different people. Home to some of the nation's most outstanding areas of natural beauty – from rugged coastline and vast sandy beaches to the wilderness of Bodmin Moor with its dramatic granite tors and stark splendour – as well as international renowned attractions such as the iconic Eden Project and Land's End – Cornwall is the dream destination of many.

Whether you are looking for a beach holiday, the simplicity of a rustric retreat, an action packed holiday with sailing, surfing, horse-riding or coasteering and more – we can help you find Your Dream Holiday in Cornwall.

Wadebridge

North Cornwall is home to some of the nation's areas of outstanding natural beauty. Rugged coastline, sandy beaches, hidden coves and lots of surf surrounded by glorious woodland, monuments and quaint fishing villages, gift shops, tea rooms and fantastic restaurants.

Wadebridge is a lovely town on the River Camel and has a real buzz about it. Super restaurants, riverside walks, the Camel Trail - all on your doorstep.

This area boasts the much vaunted destinations of Padstow, Port Isaac and Rock whilst being less than 20 miles from the hub of Newquay with its nightlife and glorious beaches. Boscastle, Tintagel and Bude lie to the North and Bodmin is surrounded by some of the most beautiful woodland anywhere with Cardinam Woods, Lanhydrock and Respryn.

St Mabyn is delightful little village with a small shop/post office and a lovely pub serving meals. It is quiet, quaint and all you would expect of a Cornish rural village. The location is so brilliant for the visitor however, with both the A30 and the A39 in striking distance taking to the northern most and southermost sights of the county.
