The Royal Cornwall show ground is a short 1.5 miles (2.4km) drive away.

Ground floor: Large fully equipped open plan kitchen and dining area with seating for up to 8. Family sitting room complete with large leather sofas and armchair, flat screen digital HD television, DVD player and WiFi access. Double bedroom with separate wide door access, small lounge, wet-room, toilet and large conservatory. This area can be an integral part of the house or separated by closing a wide access door making it suitable for guests who sometimes need privacy, find stairs inconvenient or use a wheelchair.
First floor Family bathroom with large bath, overhead shower, heated floor to ceiling towel rail, basin and toilet, two double bedrooms, one with washbasin and single bed plus one single bedroom with pull out bed that converts to a double. All bedrooms have uninterrupted country views.

Two double garages with surfboard storage, additional parking space for up to 8 cars, wetsuit washing/drying facilities, large private gardens with lawns, garden furniture and BBQ. The house was part of a small farm so horses are often in residence in fields around the house. Regretfully no pets.
Bed linen and towels are replaced weekly, central heating and welcome pack included.
The West Country region
Located on the Camel estuary, just 6 miles (9.6km) inland from the Atlantic, Wadebridge is ideal base for exploring the rugged North Cornwall coast, visiting any number of fishing villages including Port Isaac, Port Quin and Tintagel or drive a short distance inland to Bodmin Moor, Dartmoor and the Lizard The popular fishing port of Padstow and home of the famous Padstow 'Obby Oss' is a short (6 mile/9.6km) drive away, characterised by its picturesque harbour, shops and gourmet restaurants. A variety of boat trips regularly depart from the harbour, offering cruises and fishing trips with a ferry across the Camel estuary to Rock, a well known water sport and sailing resort. The famous golf clubs at St Enodoc, Trevose and Merlin are all within easy reach. Bedruthan Steps on the National Trust’s Cornish Coastal Path and the Camel Trail, running from Padstow through Wadebridge to Bodmin, are excellent for sightseeing, bird watching, walking and cycling.
Further down the coast you will find the thriving surfing town of Newquay (14 miles/22.5km) with its legendary Fistral Beach and many other popular surfing spots. For those who don’t want to venture that far there are many more world class beaches closer to hand, all within a 10 mile (16km) drive. They include Polzeath, Harlyn Bay, Treyarnon Bay and the excellent wind and kite surfing beach at Daymer Bay.
Historically Wadebridge is the place with a river crossing that became a Bridge - built on countless bales of wool they say. It now has two newer ones. One allows through traffic to bypassed the town, the other makes walking easier from Egloshayle into the centre of town. When the bypass - aqueduct - was built they had problems finding the bottom of the river. The second new bridge is called "Anneka's Bridge" after the TV presenter Anneka Rice.
The town is a central point of access to the Camel Trail with a choice of either heading seawards towards Padstow or inland towards Bodmin and then further up onto Bodmin Moor. Wadebridge is a place created by history and the river. The half way point between two extremely different areas of Cornwall.
By checking most local sign posts you will find that many of Cornwall's other main towns seem to be equidistant from Wadebridge. Perhaps this is why some of the County's biggest events have their home here. The Royal Cornwall Show, The Cornwall Folk Festival and one of county's leading old farmers' markets, now staged at The Royal Cornwall Showground.

"Great place stay and to explore Cornwall"
We have just returned from Cornwall after a 1 week holiday. 3 families with 6 adults and 4 children stayed at Coldrock and it was just perfect ! Big house, very modern and everything looked new, so comfortable and welcoming! We just loved it. Big kitchen with enough plates and all utensils, dishwasher (which was a bless for so many people), big fridge/freezer/washing machine,etc. Massive dining table and plenty of space for all the people in the house.
It has parking for several cars, a massive gas barbecue and all you need to enjoy a holiday. Plus a very decent size secluded lawned front garden
Location-wise was perfect, with everything we wanted to see close-by. Even St.Ives was just over 1h driving.
We would return to Cornwall for sure and Coldrock will be at the top of our list for rental
Welcome pack with milk, biscuits and champagne was a very nice touch !

"Perfect cottage and location for a family holiday"
We had a lovely family holiday, with our two boys aged 2 and 4 at the time. The property had lots of space for them to run around safely, with a gate that can be locked for safety. There were horses in the field next to the cottage, and the boys loved talking to them!
The park was just a short walk away (say 10 mins max) which meant after breakfast we could take them for a run around before we ventured out for the day.
The thing we enjoyed most was the cycle track close by, which used to be an old railway so is completely flat. This meant we could cycle all day and the kids loved it! Even people who never cycle could use this track it's that easy! Plus the scenery was amazing en route!
The cottage was very clean and comfortable, with lovely bedding and kitchen facilities. There was plenty of off road parking for at least four cars. The service we recieved was excellent.
We have booked to go back again this year with more family, as there is a downstairs bedroom with en suite for the grandparents.
All-in-all, a great stay for families with all age children, couples or a friends' getaway.
