We stayed at Hillaine this summer for almost a week and it was a great experience. The house is in a very quiet residential area at an elevated site with views over the river Camel and Wadebridge. It was a perfect location for exploring Cornwall, especially the beautiful north coast. Polzeath Beach for example is just a very short drive away. But we visited the south of Cornwall during our stay too. Hillaine is a very convenient modern family home, recently renovated, very clean and spacious, beautifully furnished and decorated in a coastal style. It is very quiet and peaceful with an amazing view especially from the living room and the upstairs bedroom with the exceptional window. There is everything one could need during the stay including a garden with table and chairs for alfresco dining. We enjoyed relaxing in the living room and slept very well as the beds have very comfortable mattresses - I wish I could take them home! The owners gave us such a warm welcome and made us feel at home immediately. When we arrived the tea pot was prepared as well as eveything else we would need for having afternoon tea including scones, clotted cream and strawberry jam. Moreover we found Cornish stones with our names as a souvenir and greetings on the blackboard in the kitchen. What a lovely idea! We highly recommend Hillaine and wish to come back soon!
