About the home

Cerbaiolina is situated in the country just outside the beautiful Etruscan City of Volterra giving holiday makers the sense of quiet relaxation but within easy reach of all necessary amenities. Just 7 minutes by car from the centre of town, Volterra is considered to be one of the most preserved ancient Etruscan cities in Tuscany. The City is steeped in history with Etruscan, Roman and medieval influences throughout. Volterra is ideally situated for people wishing to visit the popular towns, cities and villages of Tuscany including, San Gimignano, Florence, Siena, Lucca all of which are within easy reach by car. In addition, the relatively undiscovered coastline of Tuscany is just 40 minutes away.

The apartment of Cerbaiolina has been restored to a high standard incorporating original chestnut doors, windows and beams with terracotta roof tiling. The accommodation can comfortably sleep two people and is fully equipped with fitted kitchen, shower bathroom, and lounge / dining area. The property overlooks a well kept garden with a beautiful Roman style private pool with use of sun lounges and covered gazebo for those wishing to sit in the shade.

The Apartment has recently been restored with a contemporary fitted kitchen incorporating gas hob and electric oven. In fact all fixtures and fittings are new including the external patio's and swimming pool. The views from the Apartment are spectacular with panoramic views of the City of Volterra, the mountains of Pisa and the breathtaking Tuscan landscape.

Guests of Cerbaiolina can also stroll through and enjoy the house's twenty acre private woodland which incorporates olive, cypress and fruit trees.

Further details outdoors:
The Roman style swimming pool with shower is set in an enclosed mature garden with solarium, outdoor table and seating and gazzebo for those wishing to remain in the shade. The views from the private pool area are breathtaking and are the perfect antidote to the stress of city life and long hours at work.

Conditions

A deposit of €200 is payable upon arrival and fully refundable less any damages upon departure subject to a satisfactory inspection.
Bed linen and towels are supplied as well as sun loungers, gazebo, table and chairs.
The owners would prefer that smokers do not smoke inside the apartment.

The Volterra area

Cerbaiolina is situated in the hills of the Etruscan City of Volterra. Volterra is one of the oldest Etruscan settlements in Tuscany with clear evidence of pre-Roman civilisation. The City is awash with wonderful restaurants and bars as well as museums, churches, a theatre, sports centre, cinema and its own Roman amphitheatre which hosts music, dance and drama.

Throughout the year the City of Volterra organise a number of festivals including medieval pageants, jazz and traditional food and drink festivals. It is arguably the most exciting city in the Tuscan region.

The Etruscan Town of Volterra is within easy access of both Pisa and Florence Airports (approximately one hour by car). The most poular airport is Pisa as all of the main budget airlines fly into this airport. For affordable daily flights see BA, Easy Jet and Ryan Air.

In order to visit the many beautiful towns and villages within Tuscany, It is strongly recommended that you hire a car at the airport. As above Volterra is just one hour from Pisa and the airport is furnished with all the main car rental companies including Hertz and Europcar.

“Fantastic” Would highly recommend. Such beautiful views from the apartment with peace and quiet. Will definately be going back, wish i was there now.
