The Tuscany region

Tuscany is renowned for its beauty. It's cities, towns and villages are the envy of Europe. From its sandy beaches to its internationally renowned wine regions, Tuscany has to be one of the most popular European destinations for lovers of traditional culture and spectacular food and wine.

Cerbaiolina is situated in the hills of the Etruscan City of Volterra. Volterra is one of the oldest Etruscan settlements in Tuscany with clear evidence of pre-Roman civilisation. The City is awash with wonderful restaurants and bars as well as museums, churches, a theatre, sports centre, cinema and its own Roman amphitheatre which hosts music, dance and drama.

Throughout the year the City of Volterra organise a number of festivals including medieval pageants, jazz and traditional food and drink festivals. It is arguably the most exciting city in the Tuscan region.

"Total Relaxation"

This is a great place to go if you want to get away from it all.

The accomodation is compact, but has everything you need and the pool is a real plus.

The restaurants in the area are truly excellent and Volterra is beautiful.

You will need to use a car to get out and about, as the property is quite isolated, but then that is the beauty of it. Peace and tranquility!

"You will not find a more peaceful place than this."

This is a most beautiful apartment with outstanding views whichever way you look. It is 5 minutes down a long lane but is so worth it. You will not hear a sound, apart from the birds. That said it is in a fantastic location if you want to visit the major sights, Sienna, Pisa, Florence, Lucca, even the Tuscan coast. We had August temperatures of 40 degrees in June so stayed close to the lovely pool. You literally have vineyards up to one side of the pool and olive trees to the other side.
There are great places to eat nearby, even a little B & B restaurant a short walk along the lane. Volterra is super, 7 minutes away, very atmospheric without being too touristy. There is a lovely hotel 10 minutes down the road where you can sit beside an old olive tree, fantastic service and food. We have visited other parts of Tuscany/ Umbria and thought they were lovely but they were nothing compared to the scenery here.
Very easy to book , very well equipped , you can cook at home if you wish but there were so many great places to eat , we didn't bother.
If you want peace and quiet, a lovely pool, a great location for scenery and day trips to the best cities and places of interest then you have all of this here. Would highly recommend.
