Our traditional, stone-built villa with private infinity pool and stunning sunset views over the Ionian sea is ideal for those seeking rest, relaxation and tranquility.

Located on the side of a hill in north west Zakynthos overlooking the sea, the seclusion at Stravatha is absolute — there is not a sign of human habitation for miles and miles. Instead, all you will see are the rolling hills, the clear blue sea and the most beautiful sunsets on the whole of the island. You will hear cicadas, the wind in the trees and distant goat bells. You'll smell lavender, wild thyme and warm pine.

Stravatha is a light and spacious 3 bedroom house (2 doubles and an upstairs twin, which can be made into a double). There are two bathrooms with rain showers, a large entrance arch room with 3-seater sofa, TV, DVD player and a wide choice of movies. The split level kitchen/ diner/ sitting room is open plan with French doors from the sitting area leading on to the large front terrace with outside seating/dining and views out to sea and towards Kefalonia. The sitting room is fitted with a Bluetooth sound system and large corner sofa that is perfect for lounging. The kitchen/diner is fully fitted with large fridge freezer, gas oven and four ring hob, kettle, toaster, food processor, etc. The large dining table (seats 6 for when you want to eat indoors). The house also has wifi.

The new 12m infinity pool has the most amazing view of the sea (and sunset). Comfortable bean bag loungers and a day bed are perfect for lazy days by the pool. There is also an outside shower. Wrapping around the house is a large terrace with another table at the back underneath the grape vine, and to the side is a further shady terrace beneath an ancient pine tree.

The nearest village is Volimes, which has cafes, a bakery, small shops, etc, and is just 1.5km away. Agios Nikolaos and the east coast, with beaches, coves and an abundance of tavernas and a few bars is just a 15 min drive from the house.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How can I retract my booking request?

You’ll need to contact Jeremy (the owner) to do this. Send them a message in Manage your holiday booking or through the contact form on this page.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Jeremy (the owner) a message.

If Jeremy (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
