Villa Gioia is situated, in panoramic position, among the hills in Lazio, (near to the border with Umbria). The villa is an ideal point of departure to visit Rome, northern Lazio and southern Umbria. At 10 km distance the railway station of Orte (the train brings you in 45 minutes to the centre of Rome) and the highway A1/Roma-Florence. The villa has an own fenched garden with swimming pool and 2 covered parking places. The large porch gives the guests also the possibility to eat outdoor. On a side of the villa at disposition a level lawn where the children can play.

The Lazio region
There are few areas in the world with so many cultural, archaeological and architectural sites of interest as the Italian region of Lazio. In the first place it is situated in the inexhaustible source of sites of interest in the city of Rome. Everyone know Rome but in the region Lazio there is much more to see. And then Lazio is also flanked on the west by the Mediterranean Sea with its crystal clear colours and numerous islands and in the east by the Apennine mountain ranges, well over 2000 metres. In Lazio nature and culture come together in every way. It is too little known that Lazio is also a region with various splendid lakes. The lakes of Bracciano, Bolsena, Vico and Castelgandolfo, to name the most important. Lakes that allow an abundance of water sports as a change from visiting towns, villages and mountain regions. Without exception easy to reach. And once at the lakes it is also easy to make daytrips by car.
Viterbo / Vasanello area
Some places to visit in northern Lazio: Tuscania, Tarquinia, Cerveteri, Bagnaia, Civita di Bagnoreggio, the palace of Caprarola. From northern Lazio it is also easy to visit many charming places in Umbria such as Orvieto, Todi, Spoleto, ……
The golf field "Le Querce" (18 holes) is 75 kms far away from the villa.

The city of Rome has 2 airports: Fiumicino/Leonardo da Vinci & Ciampino for low cost flight such as Ryanair, Easyjet. At the airports car rentals available (see www.Herzt.com, www.Avis.com if you want to book online).
