The Lazio region
Thanks to its lucky position in the heart of Tuscia and Italy, Soriano is the ideal starting point to explore the near artistic towns or the magnificient and naturalistic itineraries.
Rome can be reached in an hour, Florence in two hours and both towns are well served by Orte railway station and coach services.
Umbria and Tuscany can be reached in 30 minutes, the sea in an hour and so can its historical towns such as Tarquinia, Montalto, Porto Ercole, Porto S. Stefano and Argentario.
The oldest European forest of beeches is only 5 minutes by car and is a perfect destination for strolls and excursions.
A few Km. away there are Bolsena Lake and Vico lake of vulcanic origins; Viterbo, the papal town, today the site of a prestigeous University, along with its masterpieces, hotsprings and Spas; Bagnaia and its luxurious Villa Lante and its fountains dated 16th Bagnoregio, the so called dying town; Calcata, Vitorchiano, Caprarola and its prestigeous Palazzo Farnese; Montefiascone, land of the famous Est Est Est wine; Orvieto and its imposing Duomo and all Tuscia with its uneven heritage.

The exterior pictures in the advert are very misleading. The apartment is actually next door to the white villa shown in the pictures. It is a ground floor apartment and quite noisy. The garden that c… More
I am very sorry for this bad reviw but I expected it: in fact in these days the Wi-fi had a problem and this family had a lot of complaining about that. This complaining occurred just at the and of their staying, otherwise I should have called a PC technitian. The lady denounced it to me just the day before leaving saying that she did't want to pay the amount that should already had to be payed at the arrival but that she refused to pay pretending that she had no money and had to wait for the bank opening.
I don't think I had to explain nothing because it is sufficient to read other reviews to understand that thay cannot be so far from the opinion of this only guest that has been so unpolite.
Anyway the family has exploited the swimming pool every days, has had all the comforts and had four perfect longchair to relax. They seemed to enjoy everything but the moment I asked them to pay that is to say the day before their departure.
So I think that all this disappointing is just a question of money.
Thank you for having read also my point of view.

"Soriano is a perfect place to explore the beautiful land of Italy!"
Casa di Flo was a beautiful property and had all the amenities one requires for a holiday. The use of the pool was great and kept our little one entertained for hours. The owner Floriana went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great stay and that we had everything we needed.
The town Soriano is simply stunning and completely exceeded our expectations. There are many beautiful restaurants and cafe bars-the Bar di Roma sold the most delicious pastries for breakfast. The railway station offers good connections into Viterbo which takes about 20 minutes, calling at Bagnaia on the way which is home to the Villa Lante, voted in the top 3 best gardens in Italy-most spectacular. Soriano station also serves as a connection to Rome (go on the atac website for times) but does take quite a while. You can also get to Rome more quickly by getting a bus to Orte (every hour) and then the train direct to Termini, taking about an hour in total. Soriano also has a beautiful local park called Papardelle-here you can let the children play on the playground and feed the ducks whilst enjoying the on-site bar which serves everything from breakfast pastries, sandwiches, pizza and ice cream to coffee and alcohol. The park also hosts music events (every weekend in the summer) and the staff provide a warm and friendly service.
All in all, we had a fabulous holiday and after previously staying in many other areas of Italy, we will definitely be returning to Soriano
