About the home

Welcome to lacasadisandro.it holiday villa in campagna.The house, once a small hunting lodge has been recently renovated and expanded with valuable materials and respecting the aesthetic.

The house is situated in the hills and more precisely on the top of the "Prince of the Hill" in Vetralla and a few kilometers from Viterbo. The property includes 10,000 square meters of enclosed land with 100 olive trees, a small orchard and a large well-kept garden.

The swimming pool behind the house enjoys a sunny position among olive groves and flowers.
The interior is well furnished, it is typical for its large chestnut beams, floors and roofs of larch, in the rustic living room and kitchen and hardwood in the rooms.
On the ground floor the large stone fireplace stands in the middle of the hall, where the hunters cooked the game, a big kitchen to eat together, a large bathroom and two bedrooms.

Another feature is the loft of the house which remains the most evocative place to sleep, especially when the fireplace is lit.

Passing through the loft you go to the first floor where there is a bedroom with bathroom and a small single room.

Private swimming pool (12 X 7) equipped with comfortable beds, table gazebo, umbrellas.
Large fenced garden of 10,000 square meters with large trees, small fruit trees and 100 olive trees which produces an excellent extra virgin olive oil.
In the garden there is also a large gazebo near a wood stove and grill.

The garden, like the house and pool are for your exclusive use.
At your arrival you will find a bottle of local wine, a bottle of extra virgin olive oil of our production and a basket of seasonal fruit.

“A wonderful place to stay.” We spent a week here and wished it had been longer.The house is fantastic and had everything we needed.The grandchildren had great fun in the the very large and clean swimming pool. On arrival we met the owner, Alessandro, in the local town of Vetralla and then he took us on the short journey to his house where he then showed us around. Alessandro is very friendly and made us feel very welcome. His English is much better than our Italian was!!! We made our own pizza in the outdoor pizza oven which was grest fun and was delicious. The area has lots to offer, the medieval city of Viterbo is about 15 mins by car and offers the historic city along with shopping and lovely ice cream. There are also the lakes and thermal pools. We visited Civita di Bagnoregio and further a field Monte Argentario. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lacasadisandro and would be very happy to return again.
