Istrian Stonehouse with Private Pool surrounded by Vineyeards with Mountain Views
Peaceful village location with walks and cycling, central to of all of Istria. Sleeps maximum of 8 adults or 10 with children.

Renovated to the highest standard in 2006, this 200 year old stonehouse is surrounded by a huge terrace, has large oak kitchen fully equipped with double oven 'Britannia' cooker and all crockery pots and pans. The lounge has an Istrian open stone fireplace and a solid oak staircase leads upstairs. The large garden is stocked with flowers, shrubs and fruit trees. A large beamed pergola by the private pool is for outside dining. There is also parking for 4 cars inside the iron gates. The utility room has a washing machine, dishwasher and ironing board, also a separate WC and sink.

About the area

Accessibility
The open plan ground floor is easily accessible to wheelchairs and the bedrooms doors are wide enough, but the stairs are the only way up to the bedrooms.

Outside
Garden has two lawns with shrubs and flower borders, stone terrace and path to front door, gravel parking with locking iron gates, 8x4.5 meter pool with stone paved bathing area and beamed pergola with BBQ, fruit trees and herb garden. Large tree and hammock.

Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is Porec which is a 20 minute drive away or the Venetian seaside resort of Rovinj which is 45 minutes drive from Diklici. Beaches in Istria are generally pebbled with beautiful clear water. Many wonderful boat trips are on offer which may include a fish/meat picnic.

Golf
Golf courses at Umag, 30-40 minutes drive.

How to get there
Nearest airport is Pula which is 50 minutes drive on very good motorways direct to Visnjan which is 3 kilometers from Diklici. Car hire is essential and can be collected from Pula and Porec. Porec can also be reached by ferry from Venice. Istria is easily accessible from Europe by car, the motorways are very good.

Distances
Nearest town Visnjan is 3 kilometers which has restaurants, bank and ATM, shops and a lovely old town and telescope. Porec has a lovely old roman town and bascilica. Rovinj is a beautiful venetian seaside resort with winding ancient streets and churches. Motovan and Grosnijan are ancient hilltop towns only 10 and 15 kilometers away and the famous Roman amphitheatre is in Pula.

Further Details
The village is surrounded by lovely walks and cycle routes through vineyards and hills and wonderful place of relaxation and central to many places of interest. Food and wine of the region is very good and cheap and the pace of life is easy and the villagers are friendly. If you would like to have a meal with the local people it can be arranged with a tour of their wine cellars and a sample of their way of life which is still very traditional and family centered.

Booking notes
Please fill out our booking form which will be sent to you and we will arrange payment by internet transfer. A deposit of 30% is required and full payment 10 weeks before your holiday date. A £300 or euros, refundable deposit is paid on arrival in cash to receive the keys, as protection against damages which will be repaid to you after inspection of the house and garden.

House swap
House swap considered with at least 2 bedrooms and pool.

The owners lived in this house for 5 years running it as a retreat guesthouse and have now turned it over to managers. All fittings and furnishings are therefore of a very high standard. A cash deposit is required on arrival of £300 or 300 euros which is returned after house is checked. All guests will need to supply details for registration with the tourist board. Only registered guests are allowed to stay in the house.
