The Lodge, self catering plus the two suites in the main house for multi family holidays OR the two suites in the main house on a B&B basis.

The Lodge:

Following a recent renovation, the lodge is a perfect self-catering option for families or small groups.

It comprises a mezzanine bedroom with extra king sized bed, together with its own wash basin, and overlooks the large private sitting room which has the most spectacular views of the river Paiva and neighbouring valley.

There is also a second bedroom, a loft niche for two single beds (suitable for kids), which together with the mezzanine bedroom shares a separate bathroom with shower. A third, en-suite, single bedroom is also part of the Lodge with its own separate entrance

The large sitting room is made up of several sofas and seating, TV & video, free satellite TV, and large cathedral windows opening across the width of the building which leads onto a HUGE balcony with sun loungers, large table and chairs for al fresco dining with breathtaking views over the river valley and the Quinta grounds.

The kitchen and dining room is fully equipped for 12 people and includes wine glasses, oven, hob, fridge freezer and microwave. The large dining table overlooks the valley through a grand window.

Exquisite linen, large towels and beach towels are provided, and cleaning and linen changes are done weekly.

Additionally, with its own private entrance, there is a separate single en-suite bedroom next to the main lodge, if required.

The Main House Suites:

The Cream & Green Suite

The Cream & Green suite has a king size bed facing a huge window with river valley views plus a single bed in the dressing room area, and shower room with a high-tech shower, steam free mirror, towel heater and WC.

In the bedroom there a separate wash basin and vanity table, plus hairdryer and conversion electric plugs. A tea table is supplied with an array of teas, coffees and coffee-maker. Towel dressing-gowns and luxurious soaps are on hand as well as a hairdryer and electrical conversion plugs.

The linen is exquisite and no expense has been spared for your comfort, with underfloor heating for those chilly winter days!

A sofa and arm chair completes the comfort of the suite, and there is a fridge for the odd bottle of wine!

The Black & White Suite

The Black & White Suite is a large family room which sleeps two in a king size double bed or 4 using the two large single beds in a raised niche.

It is quite spectacular with a free-standing bath and wash basin. In a separate room is a WC, bidet, vanity unit, and towel heater.

Additionally, the main room has a sofa, lots of cupboard space, trouser press and towelling robes.

Perfect for honeymooners!

The grounds are very secluded in their own bend of this delightful valley, with stunning views over the river and the Serra de Montemuro mountains opposite, wherever you walk in the grounds you are followed by the sound of water from the river and natural springs and benches and hammocks have been provided in shady spots to enjoy your surroundings. This marvellous countryside is ideal for those who enjoy walking, swimming, bird-watching, trout fishing, kayaking down the river or practising various outdoor pursuits and a majical place for children.

It is also the perfect spot for those who are looking for peace and tranquillity, "far from the madding crowd", in an area of outstanding beauty. The Quinta nestles in a green and lush valley: the sides of the mountain are clad in eucalyptus and pine, and the tops are open moorland which in the spring time is covered in heather of the most beautiful colours. In the valley floor grow warm Mediterranean crops which are available from the garden in season.

Legend relates that the artist, Picasso, visited this estate on a number of occasions as the guest of the original owner of the property, the German artist Heinz Kraken.
