New for 2008. This 2 bedroom Gite (sleeps 6)
The gite stands within a complex which includes 5.4 acres of paddocks, garden and large parking area. The property comprises of a large open plan ground floor with lounge, diner and ktichen, retaining the original 1810 granite fireplace with recently installed log burner. On the first floor there are two bedrooms, one double and a twin room, and a shower room.

Guests have use of the private rear garden with furniture, bbq and a full size trampoline for the children. You can spend a Summers evening enjoying the garden and watching our horses grazing in their paddocks.

The Normandy / Calvados region

Normandy is set in beautiful rolling countryside, not unlike many parts of England. There is plenty to do for the outdoor enthusiast such as horse riding, cycling, walking, golf, fishing, kyaking, swimming and many more.

Places to visit include Mont St Michel some 40 miles to the west with the famous and historic town of Le Mans approximately 60 miles to the south east. 50 miles to the north coast are the D-Day landing beaches, with the town of Bayeux and it's famous tapestry.

Vire area

Sourdeval is only a 5 minute drive away, where you will find boulangeries, Tabacs and Boucherie. There is a local farmers market every Tuesday where you can sample the local french produce. There are plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from where you can sample fine French cuisine. The town also has an English restaurant and bar for something a little closer to home.

The historic town of Vire is just a 10 minute drive away, which offers a large variety of restaurants, from traditional french to Mexican, Chinese and Itallian. Vire is our nearest railway station offering direct rail links to Paris.

Side access from the Gite leads to the private garden with seating for 6, a bbq and large trampoline. The garden looks across the fields where very often the ponys will come up to greet you, so bring some carrotts!

50% deposit required to confirm booking, balance due 8 weeks before departure. (excluding last minute bookings). £100.00 security deposit will also be required.
