Vinaros area
Vinaros is a town known for its views of the Mediterranean and its year round perfect climate, which you can be enjoyed on more than 12km of beaches. It is a pleasure to explore the many coves and wide, sandy beaches. There is a thriving port where the great fishing tradition of the mediterrenean coast continues. There are open air markets where you can purchase the latest catch, and more than 300 moors from which you can enjoy water sports.
The great fishing tradition is reflected in rich local dishes which incorporate the area´s fish and seafood. (especially the famous langostino of Vinaròs, without forgetting the rices and paellas.) Just a few kilometers from Vinaròs, there are several golf courses, tucked away in privileged enclaves, surrounded by peace and tranquility. If you’re looking for a festive atmosphere, Vinaròs has some of the most famous carnivals in Spain, where the fun and colourful costumes fill the streets.
How to get there
Vinaròs is conveniently situated between two airports, Valencia airport (1hr 30min) and Reus (45 min). Barcelona airport is a little longer drive (1 hr 50 mins) but easy as with the other airports. To drive from each of the airports you get on to the Autopista AP-7 and dont come of until you reach the Vinaros turning. In the future there will also be an airport at Castellón (30min).
