Home description
Situated on the superbly landscaped ninth tee, of Panoramica Golf and Country Club, this three storey home provides the ideal location for a golfing holiday, or simply a peaceful rural break.
The ground floor contains a large and airy living space, complete with, central-heating and a log-burning fire, making it suitable for a break away at any time of year. The fully-fitted kitchen, and solid wood dining table, make eating in as attractive as dining out!
Outside we have a large terrace with patio furniture and gardens which blend seamlessly into the golf course beyond. The swimming pool is shared with other properties, and has a children’s area included. There is also a stone barbeque which can be used at any time.
Each of the bedrooms, one double (although the beds can be pulled apart) and one twin, are fully furnished, one has stunning views of the landscape and mountains, with an en suite, whilst the other boasts balcony overlooking the golf course and it’s own private bathroom.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Costa del Azahar region
The Costa del Azahar has been described as the “Last Spanish Costa”
Morella is the medieval capital city of the region El Ports and is an interesting ancient walled town high in the mountains, just 40 minutes drive from the property. The nearby Ulldecona reservoir is an area of great natural beauty, ideal for hill walking and bird watching along with cave paintings at Polvori Cave.
Barcelona city is two hours by car, whilst Valencia is one and a half hours away, both are easily accessible by train from Vinaros. These are fantastic cities that must be visited during your stay!
A few kilometers along the coast is Peniscola, an old, Medieval town with walls and fortifications surrounding the white washed houses and Peniscola Castle that housed the controversial 15th century Pope Benedict XIII. Peniscola has 7 kilometres of beautiful beaches with a lively atmosphere and many night spots. It also hosts the Classical Music Season and International Comedy Festival each year. 'El Cid was filmed here.
The Universal Mediterranean theme park ‘Port Aventura’ and ‘Costa Caribe’ water park are only 45 minutes drive away from the property or are easily accessible by train from Vinaros - directly to Port Aventura’s own railway station!! This is the only Universal theme park in Europe and is a must for children and the young at heart. You can visit their website at www.portaventura.es
Vinaros / Panoramica Golf area
In Vinaros and the surrounding area you'll find everything you need for your self-catering holiday. There are plenty of large supermarkets around, the best being Mercadona, Sabecco, at the junction of the N340 and the N238, or, Carrefour, a few kilometres down the N340 towards Benicarlo.
Vinarós itself offers a fishing port, which brings in fresh fish Monday to Friday. To purchase the catch of the day, together with excellent fresh fruit and veg, just take yourself to the 'Mercado', (local market) where you can also take in the colourful atmosphere and meet the locals.
For restaurants and bars, you need look no further than along the sea front area, which has an excellent selection. Or, you might decide to explore further along the coast and visit Peñiscola old town, where once again you'll find an abundance of quality places to eat, the latter focusing on seafood. Vinarós also provides all those holiday essentials such as the Tourist Information Centre, Post Office, Banks and even the Police and a Hospital. Petrol stations line the N340.
For transport options, Vinaros has a small train station a few kilometres outside town, with trains to Barcelona or Valencia taking around 2 hours each way. There is a small taxi company in Vinarós and taxis can often be found outside the train station. There is also a local bus service.
Vinarós is situated on the Costa del Azahar midway between Barcelona and Valencia in a region famous for orange groves, figs and olives as well as being a busy fishing port. The climate is particularly warm through the winter months with many Spaniards holidaying here from as far as Madrid.
San Carles de la Rapita, one of the best fishing ports in Spain, was featured by Rick Stein in 2007, and is just 25km away near the Delta del Ebro wild live reserve.
Benicarlo, just next to Vinaros is also a seafaring town with the Nautical Resort providing a great variety of watersports –including canoeing, sailing, snorkling, diving and water skiing.
Bernhard Langer designed the golf course at Panoramica; it’s an 18-hole championship course, par 72 course suitable for all handicaps. With 8 lakes and over 70 bunkers it's a course where strategy should be a key element of a player’s game. The course is in attractive rural surroundings, built on an olive grove landscape.
Practice facilities include two driving ranges of around 350 meters, 3 short par 3 holes, and a pitch and putting green. Considered one of the best in Europe, the practice facilities also make Nova Panorámica popular with Golf Schools and Clinics.
It hosted the Ladies Spanish European Open in May 2005 and 2006.
Facilities at the Nova Panorámica Golf Course and Country Club include: clubhouse, restaurant, bar/café, foot showers, changing rooms, lockers, pro-shop, club hire, electric carts and trolley hire.
The full size football pitch, pitch and putt course and tennis courts are now also complete.
There are bars, restaurants and a small supermarket on the complex.
There is also a 24 hour security service on the complex.
How to get there
Low cost flights are available form easyjet and Ryanair, both of which depart from most regional airports.
Ryanair fly to Reus airport, which is closest to the property, being just approximately 100km away, or a short 60 minute drive. Easyjet fly to Barcelona, which is 2 hour drive from the property.
You could also travel by train from Barcelona or Tarragona, disembarking at Vinaros, which is just 15km from the property.
