Manor House | 4 bedrooms | sleeps 8
This is a large manor house in normandy a short drive from the D Day beaches. It has 4 bed rooms to sleep 8, and comes with free wi-fi internet connection, English TV, its very private garden with stunning views and a small above ground pool, and a games room with pool table and table tennis. The kitchen is large and was new in 2010, and the bath room has a new luxury shower and a bath . there is a seperate toilet.
The house is 1 mile from the village of St Martin des Besaces which has a full range of small shops and is a 10 minute drive from supermarkets and larger market towns.
There i something for everyone in Normandy, all the famous WW2 sites along the D Day beaches, and inland where each village has its own story to tell of its liberation. For the more sporting there is excellent fishing on the River Vire, and you can hire canoes for a day trip down the river, something we would fully reccomend. Also we are only 6 miles from the worlds first permanant Bungee Jump site which has bothe bungee jumping available totry, and several other activities to tempt the brave. See details at AJ Hackett of Normandy.
The house is on an 8 acre site with stunning views, and you are welcome to walk arround the fields that surround the gite, or relax in the private garden taking in the sun whilst the kids play in the pool.
We hope we can welcome you to Normandy

About this location
The Basse-Normandie region
In June 1944 normandy was the site for the Allied invasion of Europe. The D Day beaches are just to the North of us, and each village on your trip to the beaches has its story to tell.
the gite is on the upper slopes of Hill 309 taken by the coldstream guards on 30th July 1944, and as you can see from the photos there is a stone marking this on the road just behind the house.
For the more sporting you can try bungee jumping at the AJ Hackett site onlky 6 miles away, or fishing or canoeing on the river Vire.
Being france eating out is special, with excellent local resturants to tempt you.
A good local market is held each Monday at Torigni Sur Vire, a good way to start the week.
We hope you can holiday with us
We are one mile from the small market village of St martin Des Besaces with its full range of shops

Enjoyed our stay and the problem regarding lack of hot water on arrival was sorted efficiently. The outside space was amazing and well tended but feel that the inside of the property needs a little tender loving care and a little more attention to detail with cleanliness! Was quite surprised to find other properties belonging to the owners in such close proximity. However relatively near to places of interest such as Arromanches, the landing beaches and beautiful Bayeux!
