Comfortable beds settle four people in the bed rooms. Two additional people can be accomodated in the living room on a sofa bed. Two bath rooms with tub or shower + toilets are avaiable. The garden is ar. 500 sqm.big, totally in privacy, planted with trees (orange, lemmon, olive trees...). A private parking is available.

Cagnes sur Mer is located between Nice and Antibes and easily accessible by car (highway A8, exit "Cagnes sur Mer", by train (TGV station in Antibes) and by air (airport Nice Côte d'Azur at ar. 15 mn.). It is a charming and quiet family seaside resort.

A lot of cultural and sport events are organized all year around on the Côte d'Azur (French Riviera): for instance in Cannes (famous cinema festival, "old timer" regattas...), Antibes - Juan les Pins (famous jazz festival), Antibes (very famous Marineland park with aquatic shows of dolphins and orcs), Cagnes sur Mer (horse race course), Nice (carnaval, theater, opera house, jazz festival...), Monaco (tennis open, F1 car race, opera house, concerts of the philarmonic orchestra...) and Menton (classic music festival, famous lemon festival). The italian border (Ventimiglia) is attainable in ar. 40 mn. by car.

The Alpes (Mercantour park) are very close and the ski stations (Auron, Isola 2000) can be reached in winter within ar. 90 mn. Very famous golf courses are very close (golf course of Mougins, of Opio etc.). A choice of excellent restaurants are very close, e.g. at Vence, St. Paul de Vence, Biot, Antibes, Nice... The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur region

The region is the "Côte d'Azur" or French Riviera well known since the end of the 19th century for its mild climate and its beautiful seaside. The winter is quite mild and sunny and the spring particularly enjoyable with the hills behind Cannes covered with mimosas in blossom. Snow in winter is extremely seldom on the coastline. The summer is quite agreable and temperate due to the wind system. It is never really hot even in July and August.

The French "department" of "Alpes Maritimes" is very well named because not only the sea, the seaside, the coast, the yachting harbours, the beaches are very attractive but also the very close Alpes with summits close to 3000 m. , covered with snow until May - June, visible from the coast. Ski stations (Auron, Isola 2000....) are reachable from Nice within 90 mn. Even in Summer a tour in the "Mercantour park", where the flora and the fauna are strictly protected, can be very enjoyable for adults and children: nice walking pathes, chamois, marmots, wolf park at St. Martin Vésubie...

British people enjoyed the "Côte d'Azur" since the end of the 19th Century and it is not without good reason that the promenade along the coast in Nice is called "Promenade des Anglais". Before the first world war the Russians as well loved the "Côte d'Azur" in winter, a remarkable very beautiful russian church is still the proof of that in Nice.

Villeneuve Loubet

Cagnes sur Mer is called also the "city of the painters". Renoir, Soutine, Modigliani and numerous other painters stayed in Cagnes sur Mer and painted the landscapes, the sea, the sky, the light and the people here.

Renoir stayed in Cagnes until his death. His property is now a beautiful museum recently renovated. The garden is very famous for its multi centenarian olive trees.

Cagnes sur Mer is known as well for its horse race court. Horse races in winter and summer.

In the neighborhood, very close, are very famous nice little towns or villages: Vence, St. Paul de Vence, La colle sur Loup, Gourdon, Biot, Mougins. A lot of artists love or loved to stay there, e.g. Yves Montand in St. Paul de Vence, Michael Schumacher in La Colle sur Loup, Picasso in Mougins.

Grasse, the capital of perfumes, is very close as well (ar. half an hour by car). Its newly renovated museum of perfumes is very attractive for adults and children.

Antibes is also a very close (20 mn. by car). It is a very nice city with the old Antibes surrounded with ramparts. It is famous for its harbour where the most large yachts can be hosted, this without speaking of its jazz festival in July, its night life and its numerous excellent restaurants of all style. Very close, close to Biot and Antibes is a very famous water park, Marineland, with very attractive shows of dolphins and orcs. In addition Biot is worldwide known by its glassmakers and glass factories.
