Studio apartment has been fully refurbished - 35m2 - consists of a light and airy bedroom with a double bed, an open plan living area, studio kitchen area with a practical fully equipped Italian kitchen including a washing machine.. Bathroom fitted with inbuilt massage shower, sink , There are two double glazed floor to ceiling bay windows that both open out to a terrace area that runs the length of the apartment, which opens up the apartment fully to the sun and the views over the sea, village of villefranche and mountains .There is air conditioning in the bedroom and living room and internet access -

The apartment is modern with good quality fixtures and fittings, there is reversible air conditiong in living room and bedroom , for winter, constant under floor heating. The kitchen is fitted out with Dishwasher, cooker, fridge and washing machine - the floor to ceiling patio doors gives you tremendous light and a 'can nearly touch it ' view of the sea and the village -
You have free 24 Hr internet access and Tv via the internet with Uk and USA news channels -
The bathroom is fitted with a 'massage shower' and all the fittings are brand new -

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Alpes-Maritimes region

The Cote d'Azur has a Mediterranean climate, giving you countless days of sunshine and warm breezes. The sandy beaches and clear blue sea waters are typical of this region, but you can also take advantage of the facilities offered by the excitng and glamorous towns of Nice and Monaco.

There are many activities to take part in, there are the nurmerous watersports for the sport loving fans, but also there is plenty of time and places for those who just want to relax, and enjoy the sea, the sand, the beautiful coastlines, gentle walks, excellent restaurants and bars, big events and historical centres.

The Villefranche Sur Mer area

This is a small fishing port that has been transformed into a cosmopolitain village, with an active port/marina area. You see a flotila of boats mooring for the day or night to take advantage of the natural Bay of Villefranche. There are small cobbled streets in the old town, and you can visit the medieval castle of Villefranche sur mer, which overlooks the Bay and marina.

Along these cobbled streets, and along the port of the village you will find restaurants of good quality, specialising in all types of cusine and budgets. The village offers a Provencal/cote d'azur experience to its full - you have the old mixed with the new, the young with the old, and the mix of visitors always provides an exciting however relaxing vacation.

-Budget Air lines such as Easy Jet, Ryan Air, plus many scheduled airlines have regular flights to Nice.

-There are many car hire companies at Nice Airport .

-Rail-Villefranche-sur-Mer is on the main Nice-Monaco-Menton-Ventimiglia line, with frequent services. The train station is approx. 6/7 mins walk from the apartment, giving you easy access to Eze, Monaco, Nice, Cannes - Ideal for day excursions.

-Bus -There is a regular service from Nice to Menton, ( town close to the Italian border) . The bus stop is on the main street of Villefranche.This is a scenic coast road .

“Wonderful location, gorgeous view” Villefranche is a perfect base for exploring the Riviera by bus and train, and Christine's apartment is perfectly situated in the town. Whether we wanted to visit neighboring towns or just relax and enjoy the nearby beach, harbor, markets and restaurants, the apartment was most convenient and comfortable. The location is right on the edge of the old town, and not too steep a walk down. The grocery is practically out the back door, and there are several boulangeries close by. We did not have a car, and got around easily on foot and with the wonderful cheap buses and trains (except for the two days they were on strike). The balcony and glass doors provide exquisite views of the harbor and Cap Ferrat. Morning coffee on the balcony started every day on a sunny note. In the evenings, shimmering Cap Ferrat and the Villa Ephrussi de Rothchild in the moonlight across the bay kept us from ever watching television! Everything in the unit was very clean and in good working order. The photos are completely accurate. If anything, the apartment is even more charming in person. The bed is a comfortable queen size. Kitchen and bath had every convenience, and washer was handy. The apartment is well supplied with beach equipment, books and DVDs, and the internet works great. The close-in location has just a couple of drawbacks. Churchbells are very near, but they shut off at night and do not start again until 7AM. The apartment building is right on a main access road to the old town that can be quite busy in the day time. However, the noise calms down at night and did not keep us awake. Christine was lovely to deal with. She was very accomodating on schedules and all arrangements, and had great restaurant advice. I would be happy to return to Villefranche and Christine's apartment.

“A view to die for” This was our second holiday in the apartment, we enjoyed it so much the first time, this year we stayed for two weeks. It is beautifully furnished, all modern, including bathroom with that superb rain shower, the view from the balcony is fantastic, watching the sunrise over Cap Ferrat is so special and the morning and evening light are just magical. Villefranche has excellent restaurants, we love Le Cosmo,but the choice is great. Christine is a perfect host, welcoming us as usual, and we will definately return. “Fantastic Apartment, Great location, Views to die for” Could'nt have asked for more - apartment great, location fantastic and views of the bay to die for - Host Christine could not have been more helpful - ideal location for visiting nearby Nice and the resorts along the coast to Monte Carlo - bus to Nice just over 15 mins - and cheap 1 Euro - train just under 10 mins - Euro 3,40 - so very reasonable - would absolutely recommend the train to Monte Carlo - train hugs the coast with great views Would definately recommend and look forward to coming back

“Excellent Apartment” The apartment has fantastic views over the bay and to the hills and town, was very clean and very well furnished and equipped. The owner Christine, did the airport transfers herself, which was great, no worries of finding the apartment and arranging times to meet to check in. The apartment is only a short walk into the town, which is lovely and has some good restaurants. Great local transport, the bus stop and train station again, only a short walk away. We enjoyed staying there so much we will be going back in the future.

“Perfect apartment in Villefranche” From the moment I started to book to the time that I arrived at the condo I had good vibes about the apartment and the owner. I was not disappointed. Christine went out of her way to make sure that we had everything we needed and even helped us when our car battery went dead on a Sunday. The condo has eveything you need. It is in a perfect location, is clean and it has a magnificent view. When I come back to the riviera I hope that Christine has a a vacancy because I would not want to stay any place else!

“Lovely seaside escape from crowds and winter” We stayed here for a month while studying French at the Institute de Francais, a ten minute walk up the hill behind the Old Town. Superb apartment, in a word, and we'd seen many others. A morning cup of coffee and a croissant on the balcony overlooking the shimmering harbor is what I remember most pleasurably about our stay in Christine's flat. The balcony is at least twenty feet long and provides a lovely view over the tiled roofs of the Old Town out to the water. It is backed up by three sets of sliding doors, which provide a floor to ceiling view from anywhere inside. It's lovely to wake up in the queen bed and enjoy the expansive panorama. The comforts are many as well... the flat is compact, and perfect for a couple. Lots of modcons, storage space; it is tastefully furnished; has plenty of natural and artificial light (we appreciated the bedside lamps for reading), an up-to-date bathroom, and perfect location. A walk to the beach is less then ten minutes, you're alongside the old town with its bakeries and food stalls, and a five minute walk to the Saturday morning Farmer's Market. The bus to Nice or Monte Carlo (a Euro either way) is a few blocks away, while the train station is about ten minutes walk. It's a perfect location... very quiet. The church bells in the Old Town are noticeable but not obtrusive. We recommend the off-season, when there are no crowds, it's cooler, and prices are lower.

Perfect holiday - apartment had everything we needed including the most beautiful view overlooking the bay - it made the holiday so relaxing and staying in was a real treat.
