About the home

Cool and spacious 4 bedroom villa ( 340m²) with a separate 1 bedroom maisonette,
( optional ) in an elevated position in the Col de Villefranche overlooking the Bay des Anges & Cap Ferrat. A perfect place for a family or group of friends to relax by the pool after a strenuous game of tennis. Dine on the large terrace or beside the barbecue in the garden under old olive trees, (3000m²) or try the numerous restaurants dotted along the coast line. 20 minutes to Monaco,
& 5 minutes to the centre of Nice.

The Cote d'Azur has a wonderful array of activities and events cultural, nautical, sporting, theatrical and many musical outdoor and indoor festivals.

Charming light, airy and spacious villa (340m²) with relaxing and calm sitting room and separate family room with TV.There is also a games room/cinima which opens out onto the garden terrace and swimming pool. With 3 different indoor dining areas - the main dining room which opens up onto the terrace - a glass covered terrace with patio doors opening up over garden and swimming pool and a sunny and bright breakfast area in the new modern kitchen, you are spoilt for choice. Outside there is also ample dining space beside the barbecue or on the terrace by the swimming pool.

The master bedroom with en suite has its own private terrace which has stunning views over Cap Ferrat & the Bay des Anges, Nice, and further down the coast as far as your eye can see.
The 2nd bedroom, ideal for children, is off the mezanine and master, with two further bedrooms opening up onto the garden terraces.

There is also a separate maisonette with a bedroom & en suite & living room.
This can be used for staff or extra accommodation on request.

Further details outdoors:
Marvellous 11.3x 8.5m² swimming pool with shallow and deep end, perfect for lazing around and cooling off and a superb full sized astroturf grass tennis court. This is a great villa for children also with plenty of running around space in the pretty, child friendly, Mediterranean garden with barbecue. The garden has ample shaded and sunny terrace areas.
Cot and various baby equipment available on request.

Further details

The apartment will be cleaned and the beds changed once per week at the owners cost. However, if you require extra cleaning or bed changing this can be arranged at the additional cost of 15 euro per hour.

A welcome pack will be provided on arrival.

Conditions

Refundable breakages deposit of 1500 Euro required on arrival, to be refunded within two weeks of your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection)

30% of rental fee due on booking and balance six weeks before your holiday at the villa.

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Alpes-Maritimes region

The Cote d'Azur is reputed to be one of the most beautiful places on the Mediterranean, the amazing colours and light has inspired many famous writers and artist including Monet, Picasso, Renoir and Cocteau, who all lived in the area.

The sea is delightful for swimming, paddling or fishing in. For the more adventurous all the water sports can be found here; diving, water skiing or for the kids (big kids as well) the famous Seaworld in Biot which will delight and entertain you.

WIth Italy, Monaco, Menton, Nice, Antibes, Vence, Grasse and the Lakes and Alps all close by there is so much to see and do.Visit the web site www.beyond.fr/villages/villefranche.html to get an idea of just how much there is to do.

The Villefranche Sur Mer / Col de Villefranche area

Location, location, location, need I say more. Well yes I do!! Lets put it this way if it is good enough for Queen Victoria and many, many other royals since and film and rock stars its probably good enough for you! Close to here Tina Turner, Bono and Elton John have their villa and its even good enough for Paul Allen of Microsoft and his billions.

f it is culture you seek there are a surfeit of museums, art galleries and Roman sites to explore. Concerts and music festivals are in full swing in the summer and I do mean swing with the Nice and Juan les Pins Jazz Festivals. There are wonderful outdoor classical concerts many with firework displays. Villefranche seems to have a firework display for some occasion or another every week in the summer!!

Perhaps a little flutter appeals to you, well in that case you have a great choice with Monaco, Cannes and Nice who all have first class Casinos.

For those of you who love to shop Monaco, Cannes and Nice will I am certain more than satisfy your appetite. Particularly good for interesting designers as well as the usual top labels is Rue Antibes in Cannes.

Appetite did I say? Gourmet? Eating and savouring the wine is the favourite pastime here and in nearby Italy . You will not be disappointed by the variety of places to eat or just to stop and take a coffee or drink a pastis or two while watch the world go by and all the glamorous people who adore this area. Maybe even catch sight of a famous face or two! And wine? Did I mention the variety? Why not visit nearby vineyards and sample first hand the local Provence wine. Adore Olive Oil? Why not visit an Olive Mill and see how it is produced. There is so much to do you will be spoilt for choice.

I think you will soon understand why year after year people return to the Cote D'Azur.

The villa is only approximately 20 minutes drive from Nice International Airport which is serviced by the majority of the top airline companies including British Airways; British Midlands; Air France; Easyjet and Ryanair. Euro Star Rail Service, from London Waterloo, Paris and Brussels stops at Nice Mainline Station and from there it is just a short taxi ride tothe villa. At either the Airport or the station you can pick up a hire car from all the main operators - ie Hertz; Budget;etc.
