About the home

Just east of Nice and minutes to Monaco, this lovely apartment is on the second floor with a panoramic view of the port and St Jean Cap Ferrat. Fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, with shower. One bedroom and living room with a sofa sleeper. Enjoy the large private terrace for sunbathing, relaxation, painting or reading and lovely garden. Balcony from bedroom and living room, outstanding views. Short walk to Institute de Francais immersion school. Quiet and serene.

The best time to visit the French Riviera are spring and autumn. With an average temperature of about 16c/60f . Even in winter, pleasant, warm days are not unusual. The natural barrier formed, just past Nice, is Mount Baron and has prevented Villefranche becoming just another suburb of Nice. The town retains a homogenous medieval character with Italianate facades. One curiosity in the attractive old town is rue Obscure, a covered alley where the local people sheltered from pirates, and during WW II from bombs. Another source of interest is the St. Pierre chapel.

Saturday is a provencal market along the main road in front of the Office du Tourism. Sunday, antiques all day.
Visit Villa Rothschild and gardens on St Jean Cap Ferrat.

Nice International Airport. Local Bus or taxi to apartment. The bus from the airport takes you to Centreville and then catch bus #14 that travels the Moyenne Corniche and ask for the Col de Villefranche stop to get off and walk down to the apt!. The bus all day pass from the airport is only 4 euros, good all day!
