The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Alpes-Maritimes region

The Cote D'Azur or Blue coast is one of the most beautiful locations in the world. Villefranche Sur Mer area

The port, the Old Town and the Citadel all date back to 1300BC, with some streets unchanged for 500 years. Rue Obscure, which is the oldest street in France is located in the Old Town. The nearby towns of St. Jean Cap Ferrat and Beaulieu are both only a 3 minute drive away (20 minutes by foot), while Nice and Monaco are each a 15 minute drive. Known as 'The Golden Triangle', this area is considered to be the most exclusive part of the French riviera and is truly one of the world's great locations.

Taxis can be booked at Nice Airport to take you to Villefranche direct at a cost of about 60 euros
