Barn Rental

The barn is located in a hamlet the heart of the Aveyron (Dept 12) in South-West France. Here you
can experience the peace and tranquillity of this stunningly beautiful and unspoiled region of France
at your leisure. No traffic jams, no crowds, just cows, panoramic views, good food and a warm
welcome!

The barn has been converted from a derelict barn into a spacious and comfortable second home.
It will sleep 6 people comfortably in 3 double bedrooms, with a sofa bed on the mezzanine for
another one individual—or 2 close friends.

One bedroom has an en-suite bathroom. There is a second bathroom with a bath/shower. There is
also a separate toilet and a shower cum toilet on the first floor.

The barn, built for cows, is typical to this area of France. It has been renovated and equipped to
make it comfortable and everything inside has been carefully chosen to make your stay as stress free
as possible. Many of the original features have been retained and the new alterations carried out to
complement and enhance the original character of the barn. It is spacious and easily maintained.
The hamlet is on one of the branches of the Route de Santiago de Compostela. In fact, this is a very
popular area for both long and short walks.

It is within easy reach of the River Lot, to some amazing caves and to many Bastide towns ( read
about them on Wikipedia)

A service charge of €75 to cover for the cost of cleaning and laundering is payable by each party. For
those who wish to stay for 2 weeks an optional change of bed linen is offered for an extra €20.

The barn will be ready to accept visitors by 16:00h (if you plan to arrive earlier please let us know and
we will do our best to accommodate you even if cleaning is still in progress) . Yo are asked to vacate
by 11:00h on the day of your departure.

We want your stay to be as relaxing and pleasurable as possible, if you feel that something is missing
or you are in the slightest bit unhappy with what you find, please tell us and we will do our best to
remedy (where possible) the situation.

A high chair and cot, with mattress is available. There are also 2 bicycles for the energetic.

PARTICULARITIES: Smokers are welcome but smoking is forbidden inside the barn. You can smoke
outside on either of the terraces in the fresh air. This property is, unfortunately, not suitable for
anyone with difficulty climbing stairs, or those who are wheelchair bound.



The property is set up as follows;

PARKING: There is private, off road parking for two cars and plenty of space elsewhere in the hamlet
should it be required.

ENTRANCE: 2 entrances, one on the ground floor and one via upper south patio.

KITCHEN/LIVING ROOM: Wonderfully spacious family area with solid fuel stove, table and 6 chairs ,
appliances include cooker with oven and hob, microwave, fridge/ freezer, coffee percolator. You will
find all the pots, pans, dishes, cups and saucers and all other utensils in the kitchen cupboards or the
separate pantry.
There is a washing machine in the utility room which can be used on request

BEDROOMS: There are three double bedrooms, (one is en-suite)

MEZZANINE: A mezzanine looks over the entire Kitchen and Living area and provides a sleeping
area for two.

SITTING ROOM: is on the first floor and incorporates the kitchen/ dining area, with doors opening
onto a side terrace and onto the rear patio for those balmy evenings.
Two further picture windows (with safety rails) open to reveal panoramic views of the Cantal
mountains and the Auvergne. TV with DVD . The TV signal is from a satellite dish which receives most free UK channels.

BATHROOMS/WC: Two bathrooms, one 'en suite' and two WC's.

TERRACE: South and East facing terrace with panoramic views and ample space for eating and
entertaining, including an outdoor table, 4 folding chairs and a parasol.

SERVICES: We provide all linen and towels (cleaning and laundry not included - please see pricing;)
